Flowers for the Birthday Girl

I always try to remember to bring a little something for the hostess when going to a Birthday party. It could be flowers or chocolates or this:

DSC_0008

This is the Box Hex Med with Lid from SnapDragon Snippets (also available in the Silhouette Design Store) that I downsized by 50%.

I made this for my niece who invited us over for her Birthday last Sunday and it was instead of a flower.

It is made from AC Cardstock in Black and Peacock and decorated with Graphic 45s “Floral Shoppe” patterned paper. I used a little resin rose in black as the handle on top of the lid.

In this box I put some Ricola Original Swiss Herb Bon Bons because it matched so well with the floral paper 😉

I do hope she likes these candies (I do 😉 )

I also made her a card to match:

This adorable Bloom Flowers 5×7 Card is also from SnapDragon Snippets but can also be found in the Silhouette Design Store.

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Banana, Vanilla, Oregano, Peacock, Rosebud, Cranberry, Mustard, Leaf, White and Kraft Wood patterned cardstock also from AC.

All edges are inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink Pads and the two small wooden dots are from My Minds Eye.

The sentiment say “Congratulations” in Danish and is written with the sketch pen option in the Silhouette Software.

She got a Birthday gift as well 🙂 I love my niece – nothing is too good for her 🙂

Thanks for joining me today and please feel free to leave me a small comment on your way out ❤

More Spring projects to come soon – so stay tuned 😉

Roses are red…..

Violets are….Ehm purple???? 😀

Yeah I just had make these. Loved them from the moment I saw that new bundle from Dreaming Tree – Alluring Florals.

My only problem was getting the right color for the flowers as the one used by Dreaming Tree, isn’t available anymore. Oh well….my violets just aren’t from Africa 😉 Let’s call them Danish Violets instead 😀

DSC_0009

The color I decided on is from AC Cardstock and is called Plum. I used “Banana” for the stamens and “Leaf” for the leaves. Then I chalked all the edges with a violet colored chalk from Prima (Ingvild Bolme) and just followed the tutorial that Leo made – very easy 🙂

I wanted something else than the teacup to put the flowers in, so I used the planter from the Thanksgiving Topiary also by Dreaming Tree and made it from AC Cardstock in Cascade and Peach along with patterned paper from Graphic 45s Fairie Dust.

Instead of making the small feet on the planter, I used some metal feet I had in my stash. I really love how this turned out.

I’m in the middle of making the gorgeous Floral Arrangement from the same bundle, so watch out for that in an other post soon.

Thanks for joining me today – I really hope you liked what you saw and that you will join me again soon. ❤

Springtime in the Netherlands

…..I can only imagine it. All those tulips! And windmills….and water channels. I was lucky to visit close to Amsterdam this winter but I would really love to go now to see all of the gorgeous signs of Spring.

Well….I can’t go because I can’t afford it but I can bring a little bit of the Netherlands into my living room with this next project I made from SnapDragon Snippets. The files are also available in the Silhouette Design Store.

Wooden Shoe 3D Container with Cubic 3D Tulips (just used the tulips and leaves)

DSC_0032

This cutie is made from AC Cardstock in Caramel, Cotton Candy, Banana, Rosebud, Apricot, Vanilla, Cranberry, Mulberry, Boysenberry, Lemon, Olive, Spinach and Mustard. It is decorated with wood patterned cardstock in Kraft also from AC and Graphic 45s Floral Shoppe.

The shoe I kept in the original size but the tulips are downsized by 50%.

DSC_0038

I used wooden skewers as stems and attached the flower heads and the leaves with floral tape. Then I added some flower foam and Spanish Moss into the shoe and stuck in the tulips and the leaves.

It is so easy to make – a bit time consuming with all the tulips, but it’s really not that bad.

All edges are inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink Pads from Prima.

I am so pleased with how this turned out 🙂

I hope you like it too – tell me in a comment please and thanks for joining me today 🙂

Tiny Freebies

I really enjoy all the amazing SVG Companies out there – what would I do without them? And I find it especially awesome that they release so many cute freebies to play with or to try on before buying a new kit or bundle from a company that you haven’t tried before.

I decided to play a bit with some of these freebies – a fragment of what I’ve downloaded so far, but if I made them all, this post would never be over 😉

As much as I love to play and create, I can’t find much storage space anymore, so I downsized them all by 50%

For starters I made the cute Tulip Bag from SVGCuts:

DSC_0023

I used AC Cardstock in Banana and cut it on my Silhouette Cameo. Then I folded it at the score lines and tied some thin wire onto it as a handle….So adorable. Pop in a few candies and use it as a place card or table decor.

Then I moved onto the Window Pane Gift Box also from SVGCuts:

DSC_0012

I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla and used Graphic 45’s “Cafe Parisian” for the panels that I made. All edges are inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink pads.

I also decided to move the small flower on the lid onto the panel to make it more visible.

A cute tiny hostess gift that still after being downsized, holds pretty much candy 😉

I also made the adorable Bird House Box from Bird’s Bird House CollectionDSC_0014

This collection is totally free and includes cards and tags too.

I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Bayou, Mint and Lavender along with Cream colored Pearl Paper. The original file only has the swirly layer for the front of the house, but I cut out the bottom of it and repeated two times to get the layer for the sides as well. A little bit tricky with some adjustments here and there 😉

It’s so easy to make and assemble and so cute with a LED tea light inside….the cute birdie that lives inside looks kinda freaky on this picture 😀 LOL.

Finally I made the darling Sunflower Treat Basket from Dreaming Tree – made up as a Daisy 😉

DSC_0018

I used AC Cardstock in Pine, White, Banana and Mustard and decorated with Graphic 45s “Little Women” patterned paper.

I made my own panel for the handle by offsetting the handle internally and attached it to the basket with two small yellow brads.

So easy to make it more spring-y with the daisy instead of the fall like Sunflower – just change the colors.

These were the few freebies I wanted to show you today – there might be a part two 😉

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a small comment on your way out – thanks ❤

Spring Shaker Cards

Ahhhh – such a beautiful day here in Denmark today. Spring has arrived and temperatures are rising 🙂 All I need now is for the wind to settle and for my hubby to break out the hammock so I can go take a nap in the garden 😉

But first I want to show you three cards I made this week. I wanted to make these cards a bit more interactive, so I turned them into shaker cards 🙂 All of the cards can be found in the SnapDragon Snippets Store and in the Silhouette Design Store.

First of is the Bee Trio A6 Card :

DSC_0018

This made with AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Chocolate, White, Black and Melon and decorated with patterned paper from BoBunnys “Garden Journal Collection”.

All I did (and this goes for all three cards) was to make the shaker pieces by “releasing compound path” in the Silhouette software and make an internal offset of the bees body. Then I cut out six of these for each bee and glued them together. I made the acetate piece by removing the stripes on the body to get at full piece (again “release compound path) and glued the normal body onto it. Then I filled the shakers with glitter and tiny glass pearls and glued the acetated body on top. Finally I added three tiny pearls to the bees eyes.

I also made a little sentiment by using the sketch function in the Silhouette Software.

Next is the Posies Trio Shaped Card:

DSC_0020

This one is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Sky, Wine, Lavender and Bubblegum and decorated with patterned paper from BoBunnys “Secret Garden Collection”. This one is a bit easier than the bee one, because you just have to internally offset the flowers to make the shaker part and the acetate is made from the original flower.

Finally there is the Butterfly Trio A6 card:

DSC_0024

This is made from AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Latte, Sky and Mint and with patterned paper from BoBunnys “Butterfly Kisses Collection”.

The method to making this, is the same as with the bees.

I hope it all makes sense – otherwise just ask. It is really simple ones you get the hang of it and it’s really fun to make plain cards into interactive fun shaker cards.

Chocolate Bunny Basket

Hello and happy Easter Sunday Morning 🙂

In this my last Easter post, I want to show you a darling basket I made using the SnapDragon Snippets Basket Lrg 3D Choc Bunny Insert:

DSC_0002

This cutie is made from AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg, Pine, Spinach, Oregano and Key Lime. I decorated it with patterned paper from Graphic 45 “Once Upon a Springtime” and some assorted Prima flowers from my rather large flower stash instead of the Happy Easter sign.

I also used 4 small pink brads to secure the handle and tied a bow in green organza ribbon on top of the handle.

Finally I put in the adorable chocolate bunny and boom! Ready for giving it away – this time to my sister as her Easter Egg from me. I do hope she likes it!

A very easy and most cute project to make for Easter and if you want to put in something else than the bunny, just leave out the insert.

Thank you so much for joining me today and for all my Easter projects – Now it’s time for something else – Let’s see what I come up with 😉

More Easter projects…..

……Yes – I’m a complete Easter Maniac this year 😀

I’ve got some more Easter projects to show you 🙂 but I promise that these will be some of the last you’ll see from me….this year 😉

First of I made the adorable Egg Holder with a 3D Bunny from the Silhouette Design Store – designed by Tanya Batrak:

DSC_0008

This is a very easy but so cute project to make and it requires a minimum of supplies.

I down sized the original file by 50% and cut the bottom of the box, the grass and the Bunny out of AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Spinach and Grass (the eyes are cut from black pearl paper and doodled with a White Sharpie) and the top is made from Graphic 45’s “Secret Garden” paper.

Then I assembled the box and the bunny (find the tutorial here) and glued him inside the middle hole so he can peak out.

I added some cress to the two plastic egg-shells (I was a bit out of time – my original thought was to grow the cress inside each shell. That will get you a better looking cress) and put them in the two remaining holes. Easy peasy and ready for the Easter Lunch table.

DSC_0009

“Hello” 😀

Next I made the Easter Wreath from Miss Kate Cuttables:

DSC_0003

This one I supersized to fit the 12″x12″ cutting mat and cut it from AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg, Bubblegum, Lipgloss, Mint, Key Lime, Peach, Banana, Vanilla and Cheastnut.

It is very easy to assemble and for a fun little touch, I used Glossy Accent in all the “holes” in the eggs and berries. What a shine!

Now it’s hanging on my entrance door to greet all visitors 🙂

So finally I made the cute 3D Bunny from the Bunny Hop SVG Kit by SVGCuts:

DSC_0011

I’ve made her before, but this time I downsized her by 50% so she could sit in the Easter Egg shaped Dome I found online.

She is made from AC Cardstock in White and Bubblegum and patterned paper from Doodlebug Design paper “Springtime.” The eyes are two black pearls from Prima.

Even though she is downsized, she is still very easy to make and she is SO adorable this small.

DSC_0009

So there you have it. All of these projects were made ready for hubby’s Birthday Brunch last Sunday and are now a part of my HUGE Easter decor stash 😀

Thanks for stopping by today. I really hope you enjoyed these projects and I promise I’m ALMOST done with Easter……I just have one more thing to show. Stay tuned 😀

Happy Little Hopper

Good evening……well – it is evening now here in Denmark 🙂

I’m just popping in to show you the cutest little bunny I made last night. It’s from Dreaming Tree’s latest bundle Easter Frolics  – the Easter Bunny Egg Box:

DSC_0005

She is made from AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Lemon and Apricot along with Swiss Dot Cardstock from Bazzill in Purple and Pink, Orange and Green glitter cardstock. The facial features are made from black pearl paper and the freakels are Ranger Enamel Accent in Black. All the panels are embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and I used lots of pop dots for the face, body, arms and feet along with the bow to give it the right dimension.

I dotted the eyes and feet with a White Sharpie and added a small flower gem to the center of the bow.

Now I did say “cute little bunny” but she’s really not that small at all. She can hold LOTS of chocolate Easter eggs 😛 A real treat for the youngsters (and people like me 😀 )

As always with Dreaming Tree the assembly is very easy (did mine without the tutorial) and smooth and in case you just want to get the bunny, you can get her seperately here.

Thanks for stopping by and please brighten my spirits with a small comment on your way out ❤

Hello Spring

Hello to Spring…..Hello to you and Happy Sunday!

Today I want to show some Easter and Spring projects that I made this last week. Who isn’t dying to get out all their Easter and Spring decor right about now and start decorating? I know I’m soooo ready for Spring and Easter always marks the transition from Winter to Spring for me. So I’ve been busy creating.

First of I want to show the cute Spring Wreath from SnapDragon Snippets that I made using the Flat 3D Daisy instead of the original flower – just to make it more dimensional.

DSC_0008

I used AC Cardstock in Lollypop, Cotton Candy, Grass, Oregano, Melon and Sunflower and inked all the edges with Prima Ingvild Bloome Chalk ink pads. Then I used a black Sharpie to draw the small dot on the centers of the flowers. Finally I tied a pink dottet ribbon on top and that’s it. Very very easy to make – and it’s so Spring-y.

DSC_0010

Next I made the small and adorable 3D Chick Box that I found in the Silhouette Design Store (it is a SVG Attic file though)

DSC_0020

Isn’t he cute?

I used AC Cardstock in Canary, Dandelion, Caramel, Chocolate and Black and for the wings I used Bazzill Swiss Dot Cardstock in a light yellow.

I inked all the edges with Ingvild Bloome Chalk ink pads and mounted the wings with yellow heart shaped eyelets. Finally I dotted the little eye with a white Sharpie.

Love this little fellow to bits – and it’s a box that you can put treats in!

Last but not least I made an Easter Card:

DSC_0018

This adorable and fun card is the Bunny Shaker Window Card from SnapDragon Snippets (also available in the Silhouette Design Store Design ID #189097)

For this baby I used AC Cardstock in White, Black, Carrot, Sunflower, Grass, Oregano and Peony and inked all the edges with Ingvild Bloome Chalk Ink Pads. I used a piece of Acetate from Crafter’s Companion as window and filled it with Skittles. Now who wouldn’t love to get a card like this one?

And there you have it – the Easter/Spring projects I’ve been fiddling with this last week and believe me – I ain’t done yet!

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see lots of Easter and Spring crafting goodies from you guys!

Egg-stravagant Baskets……

So glad you decided to come join me today, as I want to show you the most darling little Easter Egg Baskets I made.

All of these baskets are designed by the very talented Tracey Moon Rushton of Idea Closet and can be purchased  here

Let’s start off with the smallest – the Chocolate Egg Basket Single:

DSC_0008

Next is the Chocolate Egg Basket Double that holds two eggs:

DSC_0010

And the largest of the baskets, the Chocolate Egg Basket 4 pack that holds 4 eggs:

DSC_0006

For my versions of the baskets, I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla and patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Secret Garden”.

I cut out extra panels for the inside of the baskets and decorated them with various flowers from Prima and chipboard tags also from Graphic 45.

Finally I put in plastic eggs that I decorated with paper borders and Prima flowers + small gems as flower centers, since I haven’t gotten to buying any eggs for them yet 😮

The baskets also comes in a handy bundle if you decide to get all three baskets at once

That was all for now – feels like I’m not quite done with Easter just yet 😉 Stay tuned for more……
