SHRIEK!!!!!

Looking to scare som guests at your next Halloween party or do you just (like me) enjoy some spooky horrifying decorations?

Look no further – The Coffin Luminary is here fresh from Bird’s Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection

DSC_0019

I made this from AC Cardstock in Black and White along with patterned paper from Carta Bella “Trick or Treat.” I inked all the edges with white chalk ink from Prima, added two gems to the “RIP” sign and put in some color-changing LED lights.

This rather large decoration looks a bit spooky in daylight but watch what happens when nighttime comes…..

SHRIEK!!!!!

Can you tell I’m loving this? 😀

Spooky Light Box

This weekend the magnificent Bird released a fantastic new Halloween Collection – The Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection from where you’ll find several fun and spooky projects for your Halloween party or decorations.

I threw myself at the Spooky Light Box

DSC_0038

I wanted it to match some of my other Halloween decorations, so I made it in Black, Ash, Stone and Squash AC Cardstock – still pretty spooky in daylight but life really comes into it at night with at light behind….

DSC_0002

I really love these Light Boxes. They are so easy to make and assemble and they are so amazing to look at both during the day but especially at night

Thanks for yet another great design Bird!

Now onto more fun from this great collection………………

Spell Bound

My all time favorite Holiday is creeping in slowly and I’m getting less and less time to make spooky decor…..Oh the horror!!!

Luckily there is still time and today I want to show you the latest creepy project: The Book of Spells from the JGW Steampunk Hex Kit from SVG Attic:

DSC_0005

For this awesome “book” I used AC Cardstock in Black, Plum, Olive and Sand along with patterned paper from Basic Grey – Eerie.

I distressed the edges of the book along with the front panel. I also cut four of each corner, glued them together and applied gold foil.

I used the skulls from the Mourner’s hat from the JGW Raven Quest Kit also from SVG Attic and added some small black gems as eyes.

DSC_0011

I made a small hole and placed a brad to function as a lock on the closure tab. Finally I added a small metal key in a chain to the upper right corner decoration and added some black crushed glas glitter to the pentagram.

DSC_0013

This book is originally supposed to function as a gift card holder, but I figured I use it as a hidden candy stasher 😀

DSC_0007

That way I get to get my share of the goodies before they’re all gone 😉

Thanks for visiting today and please remember to leave me a small comment on your way out ❤

Aged to Perfection

Hello – here to show you a gift I made for my girlfriend and her husband.

She turnes 50 and he turned 60 this fall and we were invited to celebrate both.

So what do you make for such a couple? Well SVG Attic had the answer:

DSC_0005

The Aged to Perfection kit contains among others this Wine Cask Gift Box and Vintage Card that I found to be perfect for the occasion.

I made the barrel in AC Cardstock and patterned paper from Simple Stories and added Jodi’s grapes from the JGW Communion of Faith kit. Those grapes are a bit time consuming but once you get the idea of how they go together, it’s just easy peasy.

DSC_0003

The Vintage Card is also made from AC Cardstock and Simple Stories patterned paper. I quadrupled the numbers and added some rosegold foil for some shine. I also dotted the letters and stars with a white Sharpie.

The gift was money and I added a small pouch inside the card for them. Then I took some shredded wood and filled up the barrel along with some candies.

And they loved it 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t forget to write me a little something on your way out 🙂

Creepy Candalabra…..

I can’t seem to get enough Halloween decor and my latest addition to my ever so growing collection, is the Creepy Candalabra from SVG Attic:

DSC_0004

This gorgeous but spooky centerpiece is made from lots of AC Cardstock in Wine and Black. I made some black panels myself that wasn’t included in the original file as I wanted to put in tea lights and these panels made it much studier. I just love how you can see the Wine Cardstock under the black…..it really makes it pop 🙂

I think come Halloween, I will spray some spider webs onto the candalabra to make it even spookier and it will be the new table centerpiece for our Halloween Birthdays ❤

Skellington on a Stick

Hello – hope you’re having an amazing Tuesday today 🙂 Mine’s been pretty lazy so far but I guess soon I’ll have to go stretch the old bones and go for a walk.

Talking about bones….I was so inspired by Annita Kristine Schøtt Pedersen’s cute snowman on the SVG Attic Fanatics FB page yesterday, so I had to make one myself. I don’t know how the idea popped into my head, but I realized that I wanted to make him into Jack Skellington from “The Nightmare before Christmas”

DSC_0005

He is made from the Spring Spiral Snowman from the  JGW Made of Snow kit. All I had to alter was the face (found one in the Silhouette Design Store #156604), make the butterfly by welding two bats from the Silhouette Design Store (found here and here) and draw some white lines with a Sharpie.

I also cut some “hands” in white and added to the arms on both front and back and finally I made a button from the skeleton on the Mourner’s Hat from JGW Raven Quest.

I used AC Cardstock in Black and White along with AC POW Glitter paper in Charcoal and a tiny bit of black floss for the button.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to leave that little special comment for me to read 😉

The Sweetest Gift……

….I got last week from my dietitian. It’s no secret that I’m a big girl and I’ve been seeing my dietitian for over a year with….uhm….let’s just say some results. This summer she suggested that I get my steps in every day and send her a picture there of for motivation. So I did and I met my goal EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! Her motivation model worked.

So now after summer’s over and daily life has set in again, we started up again and she gave me a present for all my hard work. It was a cup or a small bowl and I instantly knew what I wanted to make for it…..A paper flower or plant and here’s what I made:

DSC_0001

3D Paper Cactus I found over at Lia Griffith. I only used one sheet of Leaf colored AC Cardstock and a little bit of Bubblegum colored AC Cardstock to make this. It is so easy to assemble and looks pretty real. Finally I wrapped some moss around the cactus and placed it into the cup/bowl.

The cup/bowl reads “you” in Danish and my dietitian want’s me to remember taking care of me when I look at the cup. It is so easy to forget yourself when the daily life hits and everyone else seems more important.  So now this little cutie sits on my work table reminding me to look after me and be good and healthy to myself ❤ And I keep getting my steps in and sending her the results 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today and know that I would like to read what you think of this project ❤

Come Rain or Come Shine……

…..from the Soundtrack of the Danish Summer. It has pretty much been the crappiest summer in history, but as I see it, not everything has been bad. The temperature has been very pleasant with a minimum of hot humid days and the sun has been know to shine on occasion 😀

This weather inspired me to make this Birthday card to a girlfriend of mine whose Birthday is here in August. It could easily have been made for a spring Birthday but that’s just my point – we have practically no seasons anymore. It’s either Spring or Fall – no more Summer or Winter.

untitled

The cute card is designed by Cyndy Gustashaw and is part of her Box Cards 2 Kit.

I used AC Cardstock in Lipgloss, Cricket, Robin’s Egg, Melon, Daffodil, Chestnut, Black and Bayou along with patterned paper from Doodlebug Design – Spring Time and Wood Grain patterned paper also from AC.

I inked all the edges with inkpads from Prima and used a white Silhouette Sketch Pen to write the sentiment (it says Congratulations in Danish) on the sign post.

Thanks for stopping by – hope you love the card as much as I do 🙂

Better Homes for Hobgoblins…..

….yeah! I just don’t don’t think any fairies live in these houses I made. You know that I’m a Halloween-addict and therefore I just had to transform the cute Fairyville SVG Bundle from Dreaming Tree into something dark and haunted (Muah-ha-ha-ha……)

First off is the Dragonfly Fairy House aka The Horrible Hobgoblin HouseDSC_0015

For this house I used AC Cardstock in Black, Olive, Charcoal and Leaf along with Graphic 45 patterned paper “Halloween in Wonderland” and yellow vellum. I distressed and inked all the edges and embellished with different Halloween charms from my stash. I did alter the house design a bit, as I removed some of the cut outs to make it look a bit less cutecy 😉

Next is the Butterfly Fairy House aka The Wild Witchgoblin’s Crib:

DSC_0008

For this house I also used AC Cardstock in Black, Olive, Charcoal and Leaf along with Graphic 45’s patterned paper “An Erie Tale”. The edges are also distressed and inked and the house is embellished with more of my evil charms. Love that Pentagram ❤

Last but not least is the Honey Bee Fairy House aka The Hateful Hobgoblin Harry’s Habitation:

DSC_0019

This house is also made from AC Cardstock in Black, Olive, Charcoal and Leaf along with Graphic 45’s patterned paper “Rare Oddities” and a few trinkets from my stash.

Here are some more pictures of the houses’ details and when they are lit up:

I really had fun making these houses and they make a great addition to my ever-growing, humongous Halloween Decor Collection.

Thanks for stopping by and remember how much I love to hear from you ❤

Dun Dun Dun Dun …….

….we all know this tune! You know – the Theme from Jaws! A fitting soundtrack for my tiny post today 😀

The other day when I posted the Acorn Shaker, Team Member Lee Cox mentioned her idea of making a shaker card from the latest collection by Bird – Jawsome but she didn’t have the time for it, so she gave the idea to me. Trying my best to honor her wicked idea, here is what I came up with:

DSC_0002

I used the shark from the Shark Window Card and made it into a shaker card by adding 7 layers behind the front layer with the acetate. I removed the teeth on the back layers to give more room for shaking and made two front layers with teeth – one in red and one in white – to give the impression of bloody teeth. I also cut out tiny fish skeletons in white pearl paper and added a bit of red ink to make them look bloody 😀

The background paper I found in the Silhouette Design Store but any sea or wave paper could do.

The card is a freebie from the Card Bundles – the Pop-Up Slider Card from Card Bases. I added the green panels (they are actually the same olive green as the background) to give it a little extra and cut the text from red cardstock in a blood dripping font 😀

Finally I tied some red, white, grey and black raffia onto the slider (doesn’t show in the picture 😦 ) and added two small black pearls as eyes.

Here’s a little close-up:

DSC_0007

Yummy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by to witness the twisted and bloody mind of mine (and Lee Cox’s) and don’t forget to tell what you think of this bloody fish-eating shark card 😀
