Halloween Freebies

We’re getting very close to the big day (for some of us the best day of the year), Halloween.

I’ve been very busy making decorations for this spooky event, but I didn’t pay mush attention to making treat boxes and such, so I decided to look around and see if I could find some fun Halloween Freebies to use – and boy was I in luck.

Follow along……

Halloween CardDSC_0004

This fun and festive Halloween Card is a freebie from Dreaming Tree and awesome for both kids and adults.

I made it with AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWVs “Curiosities” (the stocking) and a piece of Black gloss paper from DCWVs “Black, White, Cream” stack (dress and heal of boot).

I don’t have any stamps to add a sentiment to the card so I just left it empty. It gives me the opportunity to use it for a birthday  instead.

I really love the matching envelope too made in AC Cardstock.

Witch Hat Treat ConeDSC_0006

This next freebie is also from Dreaming Tree.

The Witch Hat Treat Cone is a genius little treat holder/decoration and I made it with AC Cardstock and DCWVs “Witches Brew” stack paper. The buckle is made from Tim Holtz’ Metallic Kraft paper in gold.

Unfortunately I did not have any string with wire in it, so I use a piece of Ideaology tinsel ribbon for the handle.

Adorable, right?

Gravestone Treat BoxDSC_0015

This spooky freebie is from Simply Crafty Svgs.

The Gravestone Treat Box could also double as decoration and is very easy to make.

I used Bazzill Bling Cardstock in Tungsten and DCWVs “Ghost Stories” paper along with two tiny red gems for the spiders eyes.

I also used Distress ink for all edges and a distress tool for the panel edges for a more sinister look.

Creepy Coffin BoxDSC_0007

These two Creepy Coffin Boxes are also from Simply Crafty Svgs and they are in the same freebie file. It’s simply just a matter of switching out the front panel of the box.

One is with a spiderweb  and this is made from AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWVs “Curiosities” along with black pearl paper for the spider.

I also used a black Prima Gem for the spiders butt and Prima White Chalk ink for all the edges.

DSC_0009

The box with the cross is made from AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWVs “Ghost Stories” stack.

I also used a cross shapes rhinestone figure from my humongous stash and inked all edges with the same white Prima Chalk Ink.

Both front panels are attached with 3D glue Dots to give some more dimension.

Black Cat Treat BoxDSC_0012

This spooky Black Cat Treat Box is, like the two previous freebies, from Simply Crafty Svgs and what a charmer!

I made it with AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWVs “Curiosities” stack.

I used a white Sharpie to highlight the nose, ears and eyes and used some floss for the whiskers.

I used Distress Ink and Chalk Ink for the edges.

I thought I was being a genius and use acetate for the mouth opening…..that is until I saw that Sandy from Simply Crafty Svgs already did that with hers 😀 So much for being brilliant LOL!

Teal Pumpkin BoxDSC_0010

….in orange 😀

As Mary from SVG Cuts, the designer of this adorable little Pumpkin Box, explains on her blog, this box (originally made in a teal color) lets people know that you have non-food treats to give to Trick or Treaters. What a great idea! No questions on whether you are allergic or sensitive to sugar….and believe me….those kiddos get more that enough sugar for a lifetime on a Halloween night 😀

I made mine in orange AC Cardstock and teal vellum. All edges are inked with Distress Ink and I used a tiny piece of ribbon to tie it together on top.

I will use mine as a little luminary but small treats – non-food or otherwise – are perfect inside too.

Spiderweb DoilyDSC_0018

This rather simple Spiderweb Doily is actually very usable. Used in the original size it’s a great place mat and decoration for the wall. If you downsize it, you can use it for coasters or for a Halloween card.

I chose to use it as a place mat and I cut it out of AC Cardstock and inked it with Chalk Ink.

Imagine a dining table with these and lots of creepy food – perfect!

(the Pumpkin Spice Latté was very delicious 😉 )

Thanks for joining me today. I really hope I inspired you to find and make some of these great Halloween freebies. Please let me know in a comment below.

They are all very easy to make and they are the perfect occasion to use up some of all your Halloween paper scraps.

So this is the end of my Halloween makings for this year – but you know that I never miss the chance to Halloweenify anything so one may never know 😉

Feline Love

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve been owned by cats. I’ve loved each and everyone of my feline friends over the years…..yeah….the hard thing about having pets is that you usually get older than them, so you can guess I’ve had to say goodbye to quite a few kitties.

I’ve got to say that I really like cats more than humans. Why? They are always there for you. If your sad, they comfort. If you’re not feeling well, they sleep beside you. They are always good for a laugh being silly and goofy and well….even if they seem to ignore you, they always love being around you.

Fun fact: The frequency of the cats purring, is actually healing and is why cats purr if they are injured. It works on us humans too. So always keep your kitty close if you’re feeling sick. Gives the term “Pet Doctor” a new meaning 😀

This is why I decided to make the new dog files from Simply Crafty Svgs into cat files. A simple tribute to my love of felines.

All is made from AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWV’s The Pets Stack.

Let’s start with the Dog with Shades Card kitty style:

DSC_0002

The dog card is a freebie but I used the cat from the Cat Love Box Card and the fish bone is from the Silhouette Design Store design ID #92127

The way I made the card into a cat design, was simply to cut of the dog of the card and replace it with the kitty – welding it onto the card. Note that I used my Silhouette where designing is much easier than with the Design Space.

The Fishbone is made by simply making an offset of the bone and inking the edges.

I made the highligts on the ears, nose and shades with a White Sharpie Pen.

Cute, right?

Next is the Dog Dish – now a Cats Food Bowl: DSC_0003

This cutie is downsized to 75% of the original size and it’s still very easy to make.

What tickles me is how a fairly simple design can be so darn cute 🙂

The cat paws are found in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #116625

Then we have the darling Paw Box – now as a little cat paw:

DSC_0004

Not only did I swith out the dog paw with a cat paw (same design as above) and downsize the box but I also turned it into a shaker box.

This was done by making closing the lid with a solid shape instead of an open and making 6 frames in a paw shapes by making an internal offset of the top paw shape and welding the two together. Then I made another paw shape – same size as the top shape and removed the holes to use it as background onto which I glued the 6 frames in a stack. Finally I filled in some confetti, glued the acetate onto the top paw shape and glued those onto the large paw shape and then I glued it all onto the frames to close up the shaker. I really hope you got that …. otherwise you are welcome to ask me 🙂

The shaker confetti is from Nuvo and Finnabair.

So lastly I made the Dog House – now a Cat Home:

DSC_0007

This is also downsized to 75% of the original size and still cute as can be.

I switched out the sides of the house with fishbones instead of dog bones and used the cute kitty from the Cat Sticky Notepad Holder.

I used a quote I have on a sign in my home on the plague over the door:

DSC_0008

All edges are inked with Distress Ink and eyes, ears and nose are highlighted with a Sharpie Pen.

Not showing, but I did put in a LED light in the house.

I didn’t get to keep them for long before my youngest son grabbed them all to display in his room. He is just as crazy about cats as I am 😀

DSC_0001

Woah…..that just became a pretty long post – sorry about that. I hope you made it to the end and that you wanna leave me with a little comment on the project 🙂

Thank you so much for joining me today  – hope to see you again soon

The Lone Rooster

Hello – I hope you’re having a nice Thursday today.

I’m just popping in to show you the awesome Rooster 3D Large Figure from SVG Attic that I made some days ago. He is just perfect for fall and I found him very intriguing so I just had to make him.

I also had an ulterior motive for making him – it was my next door neighbors Birthday and she and her husband has a Chicken Coop and lucky for us next door – no rooster. Not that I go around the whole town and give everybody presents, but I wanted her to have him, just like saying: Please let him be the Lone Rooster in the Coop.

Here he is:

DSC_0001

He is made from AC Cardstock in Clay, Mustard, Latte, Coffee and Cranberry and decorated with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “French Country” and some Swiss Dot Bazzill cardstock.

I inked all the edges with Distress Ink from Ranger and dotted his eyes with a White Sharpie.

He is surprisingly easy to assemble and stands well on his own.

DSC_0003

I really hope my neighbor likes him and gets my little joke.

Thanks for visiting today – hope you like the Lone Rooster.

Colorful Autumn

I know we’re not quite there yet, but here in Denmark the weather is starting to say: Fall!

After an incredible summer with record high temps, a record long drought and record for most sunshine, August has been a bit disappointing in terms of heat and sun. We got lots of rain….enough to end the drought and make everything green again but come on….enough is enough 😀

In a few days it’s September and the first month of Fall so what better to start making Fall decorations.

I started out with the gorgeous Falling Leaves Topiary from  Hello Autumn SVG Bundle by Dreaming Tree:

DSC_0009.JPG

This is made from AC Cardstock in Boysenberry, Carrot, Cherry, Dandelion, Melon and Leaf.

I used a Darice Crackle Embossing folder on all the leaves and inked with Distress Ink from Ranger. The veins are made with Sharpie pens.

I couldn’t get the cone that is to be used with this project, so I made my own and I also altered the top to look like another layer instead of a gold cone. Finally I glued a Amethyst pearl on top.

I didn’t make the vase for it because I wanted it to be placed on a plate with some other Fall projects – like the Big Ghost Pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin kit from SVG Cuts:

DSC_0007

I made this one in AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Leaf, Coffee and Apricot and decorated with patterned paper from Galeria Papieru.

I also embossed a few panels with a bark-like embossing folder from Creative Expressions and inked all edges with Distress Ink and Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink. The leaf is embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

Incredibly easy to make – even for beginners!!!

I also made the gorgeous Apple from the Miss Baker’s Classroom kit also by SVG Cuts:

DSC_0008

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Rouge and Leaf and embossed with a Sizzix letter embossing folder and the leaf with a leaf-veined embossing folder. All edges are inked with Distress ink and lastly I decorated the apple with some raffia and twine along with some small gems and a button from my stash.

These three items really goes well together, don’t you think?

DSC_0005

So now it’s all ready to decorate my dining room table the next couple of months – until Halloween anyways 😉

Thanks for joining me today – I really hope you liked this post. Let me know in a comment below. Thank you ❤

Shake it up!

Hello  – yes I’m already back again but this time with wonderful news: I am now part of the amazing and creative Design Team at Simply Crafty SVGs….wooo hoooo!!!!!

This will be my first DT project post and for this I have chosen to make the delicious Milkshake 😛

DSC_0022

This yummy 3D project is made from AC Cardstock in Aqua, White, Bubblegum, Grass and Crimson along with patterned paper from DCWV from the Copper Luxury Paper Stack.

I switched out the cherry on top with a Strawberry since it’s a Strawberry Shake and added some real sprinkles on top. The Strawberry I took from the Tiki Bar SVG File (from the Strawberry Daiquiri Drink on the counter) and enlarged a lot 😉 I drew some small black dots onto it and highlighted with a Sharpie Pen.

DSC_0024

Lastly I tied a cute pink ribbon onto the bottom and voila….time to dig in 😉

DSC_0026

This Shake is also a box – just lift up the shake and cream and you can put in a small gift or fill it up with treats. It’s quite large! So I thought to myself – can this one be downsized by 50%?

Yes it can!:

DSC_0018

This time it’s a Chocolate Shake but made the exact same way only it’s tiny. The cream part is difficult especially if you struggle with stiff fingers etc.

This one has the cherry on top and the sprinkles are small brown glass beads.

DSC_0020

The ribbon on this one is a piece of raffia – gosh it’s so yummylicious 😛 And the great thing about these shakes, is that they are completely free of Calories 😉

Thanks for visiting me (again) today – please let me know how you find the shakes in a comment below – I just love hearing from you ❤

Tiny Freebies 2.0

I am amazed of how many cute freebies are out there – just for the taking. I mean – the designer put in a lot of effort in it, just to give it away. If that isn’t generosity, I don’t know what is.

Now go grab a cuppa – this is a bit long 😀

Today I want to show some more tiny and not so tiny freebies I found and made and I want to start off with the not so tiny freebies 😀

This one has a bit of a story to it as my neighbors – the kindest, nicest people ever – has a bit funny last name and going through an add for a supermarket yesterday, I found a red wine with …. well their last name on it. So I just had to buy it and give it to them….because of the name 😀

DSC_0007

Their last name is Barfod (Barefoot) and it means the same – naked foot 🙂 So it couldn’t be anymore perfect 🙂

So here is where the freebie comes into the picture; I made the Elegant Grapes Gift Tag freebie from SVGCuts to tie onto the bottle. The tag is enlarged somewhat to fit the bottle.

DSC_0005

I made it from AC Cardstock in Leaf, Olive, Wine, Eggplant, Pansy and Plum and I doodled some reflections onto the grapes with a white Sharpie. Then I tied it onto the bottle with some raffia and it’s ready to go next door 🙂

Next I made a Spring Picture using the Tulip with Frame freebie (found under square frames) and Label 8 freebie (found under Labels) from Bird’s Cards:

DSC_0011

This made from AC Cardstock in Banana, Spinach, Peacock and Turf along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Fairie Dust” collection and some purple pearl paper.

I made the Tulip frame larger to fit into the shadow box (from IKEA) and enlarged the label as well to fix the scale.

I added pop dots to the tulips flower head for dimension and to the top layer of the tag as well.

The quote is written with a Silhouette Sketch pen – the text is tripled and placed side to side very close to make it more visible.

Finally I added a small bird into the shadowbox frame along with the picture and it is so cute.

And now to the tiny freebies 🙂

Let’s start of with the Cozy Socks Gift Box freebie from SVGCuts

DSC_0029

I downsized it by 50% and since socks doesn’t fit into a box this small, I used some Werther’s Original candies instead. After I had put in the acetate window, I realized it could also be used for small paper tissues 😀

I used AC Cardstock in Black along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Artisan Style” collection and a small piece of acetate for the window.

A cute, simple and very easy box to make – especially if you’re making lots.

Then I made the very cute Tote Bag freebie from Bird’s Cards:

DSC_0021

This one is downsized by 25% and is made of AC Cardstock in Wave along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Sun Kissed” collection.

I chose to make panels for the inside of the bag too and tied two small sea shell charms onto the bag with a ball chain.

Just perfect for a gift card or maybe for the kids’ beach keepsakes 😉

I also made the same bag downsized by 50%:

DSC_0025

This one is pretty small and I thought it would be awesome as a place card for the Summer party or Confirmation.

It’s made of AC Cardstock in Wave and patterned paper also from Graphic 45’s “Sun Kissed” collection.

I fussy cut the sea turtle and pop dotted him onto the bag.

The tag is actually also a freebie from Bird and I used a sketch pen to write the name onto it and some twine to tie it to the bag handle with a pop dot on the back 😉

The next freebie has kinda the same theme going on:

DSC_0023

This is the Clamshell Box freebie from Simply Crafty Svgs and this is the original size!

I used AC Cardstock in Grape Fruit along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “By the Sea” collection. The small gem is from Prima.

A very cute and useful freebie that can also be used for sea shells or maybe some other beach treasures.

Finally I made the gorgeous Night & Day Trinket Box freebie from Dreaming Tree:

DSC_0033

This was the perfect design to used with the Graphic 45 “Midnight Masquerade” collection paper along with glitter paper in Teal and Gold.

The box is downsized to 75% of the original size

A very easy box to make and what a cutie!!!

Well….that was it for today.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the freebies or actually….. I hope you WILL enjoy the freebies as I have and please don’t forget to leave me a small comment when you leave ❤

More Easter projects…..

……Yes – I’m a complete Easter Maniac this year 😀

I’ve got some more Easter projects to show you 🙂 but I promise that these will be some of the last you’ll see from me….this year 😉

First of I made the adorable Egg Holder with a 3D Bunny from the Silhouette Design Store – designed by Tanya Batrak:

DSC_0008

This is a very easy but so cute project to make and it requires a minimum of supplies.

I down sized the original file by 50% and cut the bottom of the box, the grass and the Bunny out of AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Spinach and Grass (the eyes are cut from black pearl paper and doodled with a White Sharpie) and the top is made from Graphic 45’s “Secret Garden” paper.

Then I assembled the box and the bunny (find the tutorial here) and glued him inside the middle hole so he can peak out.

I added some cress to the two plastic egg-shells (I was a bit out of time – my original thought was to grow the cress inside each shell. That will get you a better looking cress) and put them in the two remaining holes. Easy peasy and ready for the Easter Lunch table.

DSC_0009

“Hello” 😀

Next I made the Easter Wreath from Miss Kate Cuttables:

DSC_0003

This one I supersized to fit the 12″x12″ cutting mat and cut it from AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg, Bubblegum, Lipgloss, Mint, Key Lime, Peach, Banana, Vanilla and Cheastnut.

It is very easy to assemble and for a fun little touch, I used Glossy Accent in all the “holes” in the eggs and berries. What a shine!

Now it’s hanging on my entrance door to greet all visitors 🙂

So finally I made the cute 3D Bunny from the Bunny Hop SVG Kit by SVGCuts:

DSC_0011

I’ve made her before, but this time I downsized her by 50% so she could sit in the Easter Egg shaped Dome I found online.

She is made from AC Cardstock in White and Bubblegum and patterned paper from Doodlebug Design paper “Springtime.” The eyes are two black pearls from Prima.

Even though she is downsized, she is still very easy to make and she is SO adorable this small.

DSC_0009

So there you have it. All of these projects were made ready for hubby’s Birthday Brunch last Sunday and are now a part of my HUGE Easter decor stash 😀

Thanks for stopping by today. I really hope you enjoyed these projects and I promise I’m ALMOST done with Easter……I just have one more thing to show. Stay tuned 😀

Happy Little Hopper

Good evening……well – it is evening now here in Denmark 🙂

I’m just popping in to show you the cutest little bunny I made last night. It’s from Dreaming Tree’s latest bundle Easter Frolics  – the Easter Bunny Egg Box:

DSC_0005

She is made from AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Lemon and Apricot along with Swiss Dot Cardstock from Bazzill in Purple and Pink, Orange and Green glitter cardstock. The facial features are made from black pearl paper and the freakels are Ranger Enamel Accent in Black. All the panels are embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and I used lots of pop dots for the face, body, arms and feet along with the bow to give it the right dimension.

I dotted the eyes and feet with a White Sharpie and added a small flower gem to the center of the bow.

Now I did say “cute little bunny” but she’s really not that small at all. She can hold LOTS of chocolate Easter eggs 😛 A real treat for the youngsters (and people like me 😀 )

As always with Dreaming Tree the assembly is very easy (did mine without the tutorial) and smooth and in case you just want to get the bunny, you can get her seperately here.

Thanks for stopping by and please brighten my spirits with a small comment on your way out ❤

Hello Spring

Hello to Spring…..Hello to you and Happy Sunday!

Today I want to show some Easter and Spring projects that I made this last week. Who isn’t dying to get out all their Easter and Spring decor right about now and start decorating? I know I’m soooo ready for Spring and Easter always marks the transition from Winter to Spring for me. So I’ve been busy creating.

First of I want to show the cute Spring Wreath from SnapDragon Snippets that I made using the Flat 3D Daisy instead of the original flower – just to make it more dimensional.

DSC_0008

I used AC Cardstock in Lollypop, Cotton Candy, Grass, Oregano, Melon and Sunflower and inked all the edges with Prima Ingvild Bloome Chalk ink pads. Then I used a black Sharpie to draw the small dot on the centers of the flowers. Finally I tied a pink dottet ribbon on top and that’s it. Very very easy to make – and it’s so Spring-y.

DSC_0010

Next I made the small and adorable 3D Chick Box that I found in the Silhouette Design Store (it is a SVG Attic file though)

DSC_0020

Isn’t he cute?

I used AC Cardstock in Canary, Dandelion, Caramel, Chocolate and Black and for the wings I used Bazzill Swiss Dot Cardstock in a light yellow.

I inked all the edges with Ingvild Bloome Chalk ink pads and mounted the wings with yellow heart shaped eyelets. Finally I dotted the little eye with a white Sharpie.

Love this little fellow to bits – and it’s a box that you can put treats in!

Last but not least I made an Easter Card:

DSC_0018

This adorable and fun card is the Bunny Shaker Window Card from SnapDragon Snippets (also available in the Silhouette Design Store Design ID #189097)

For this baby I used AC Cardstock in White, Black, Carrot, Sunflower, Grass, Oregano and Peony and inked all the edges with Ingvild Bloome Chalk Ink Pads. I used a piece of Acetate from Crafter’s Companion as window and filled it with Skittles. Now who wouldn’t love to get a card like this one?

And there you have it – the Easter/Spring projects I’ve been fiddling with this last week and believe me – I ain’t done yet!

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see lots of Easter and Spring crafting goodies from you guys!

Bunny Garden

Hello – so glad you want to join me today.

I’m sneaking in to show you a “little” project I made this week. You know when the idea hits, you just gotta go with it – so I did.

I’ve set my mind to changing up the Carrot 4 pnl 3d Box Fence from SnapDragon Snippets and I thought of changing the carrots to bunnies.

untitled

So I grabbed the nose and whiskers from the Bunny Shaker Window Card, the ears from the Bunny 3D Spheres Figure and the eyes from the Bunny Tummy Lip Balm Standing Card and started my project.

DSC_0010

I made the Bunnies in White AC Cardstock with ears and nose in Cotton Candy and the eyes and whiskers in black pearl paper. I dotted the eyes and nose with a white Sharpie and inked the edges with a Ingvild Bloome Chalk Ink pad in Pastel Brown.

The ears are made as I would for the 3D Spheres Figure, but I cut the bottom of and glued it onto the top of the front segment, filled it with candy and then I closed the box by tying a ribbon around the top segments and made a bow. I did this for all three bunnies.

DSC_0014

Then onto the box itself….

It’s made from green Bazzill Swiss Dot cardstock and White AC Cardstock and all edges are inked with Ingvild Bloome Chalk Ink Pads in Pastel Brown and Garden Grass. Then all I had to do was follow the instructions from Jodi G. Warners tutorial.

DSC_0012

Last but not least I added some Prima flowers onto the fence for that Spring feel.

Hope you like this “little” project as much as I do and thanks for joining me today.
