Today I’m going to show you something very different from what I had prepared.
Go figure! I’ve had my eye on this Christmas Fireplace from Simply Crafty Svgs for a long time. Ever since I saw it on the draft board among other designs and I instantly knew THAT was going to be a Christmas project.
So when this was released I got busy…..REALLY busy! Barely got home from the Gym today 😀
I’m totally in love with this cool giftbox. Especially because – well it’s a box but also because of the awesome fireplace that lits up by a LED tea light. Such a brilliant design!
I made mine with AC Cardstock and patterned paper from DCWV Stack Red&White Christmas and Recollections Paper Pad Wood, Marble and Brass.
I also used a bit of vellum for the flames, that I colored with Distress Ink.
The wood logs are embossed with a wood grain embossing folder from Darice and the panels on the Mantel are embossed with an embossing folder from Sizzix.
All edges are inked with matching Distress Ink and I added small gems on the cute bows on the garland.
Finally I added a bit of Stickles on the fuzzy top of the Stockings.
I do think this is a keeper. If only I can find a spot for it 😀 Otherwise I may have to make this again in a downsized version.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I will show you the original intended piece another day soon.
As I promised, here is my last Christmas post this year and I need to do this a little quick, because I need to finish making tomorrow’s dessert today.
Ok….I made one of the older files this time, namely Santa’s Arm Chair Box from the JGW Santas Repose kit:
I simply couldn’t shake the vision of Santa coming home after a busy night delivering presents and being exhausted, just wanting some quiet time in his chair in front of the fireplace.
The chair is made from AC Cardstock in Pomegranate, Cranberry and Vanilla along with several pieces of patterned paper from “St. Nicholas” by Graphic45 and two shades of green Pearl paper.
I used two ball chains to hang the Santa sign onto the chair.
I wanted to make a footstool too but ran out of time – but I imagined making one with the Candle 3D Stand 3 Inch Pillar just downsized and maybe altered a bit – oh well some other time.
Santa’s hat is from the Santa Clause 3D Canister in the JGW Winter Friends Canister kit and the stocking I snatched from the Stocking Trio A6 Card that I found in the Silhouette Design Store design ID #88698. I just added some Stickles Burgundy glitter glue to the top and bottom for a little extra detail.
They are made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and various patterned papers from the “St. Nicholas” Collection.
There….I kept it short for once 😀 Now it’s dessert making time and then onto wrapping the last gifts – then I’m all set for celebrating Christmas tomorrow night (we do the whole eating and gift giving on the eve of the 24th. here in Denmark)
Happy Holidays to all of you – whatever you’re celebrating and I hope you’ll have wonderful couple of days of rest, relaxation and maybe…..just maybe….a little time to sneak of and craft a little 😉
New to SVG Attic? Check out these awesome places!
I am ashamed! Very ashamed of myself. Because I didn’t send a good friend of mine something for her Birthday last week. It was in my calendar but I’ve been so busy getting ready to go on vacation, that I didn’t have time to make her anything and of that I am ashamed.
So better late than never, I’m going to send her this Unicorn Rainbow 3D Box Card….
….cause I know she loves unicorns as much as I do and this will put a smile on her face and maybe….just maybe….she’ll forgive me for being so late.
I made the darling card with AC Cardstock in various colors to match the Graphic 45 paper (Fairy Dust) that I used and then I sprinkled some fairy dust in dots here and there for magic and good luck.
The sentiment says Congratulations in Danish and it’s written on the Magical Layered Banner
It’s a very fun card to make and it won’t be my last 🙂
Thanks for stopping by today – please feel free to leave a comment to yell at me or just to tell me if you like the card 😉
Hello again 🙂 So happy you’re here today
I promised I would let you see the presents inside the giftbags I showed you Saturday and here they are:
The Star Gift Box is from Bird’s SVGs You’re a Star SVG Collection and the Poinsettia is the one from Bird’s White Christmas SVG Collection.
I downsized the box to 75% and made the Poinsettia to fit. I used AC Cardstock in White for the box and some of the Poinsettia and AC Cardstock in Spinach for the Poinsettia leaves. Then I decorated the box with papers from Maja Design and Riddersholm Design to match the giftbags and added a small Vivi Gade jewel in the flower center. I used Best Creation Glitter paper for the smallest flower and I also used Stickles Holly Glitter Glue on the Poinsettia leaves. What I put inside the boxes is a secret 😉
Here are some close-ups of the boxes:
Thanks for stopping by today – Tomorrow I’ll show you the cards that went along with the gifts 🙂
….this is definitely one tune that a lot of kiddos can sing this Christmas 😉 Especially since Bird of Bird’s SVGs made a gorgeous Mistletoe in her newest collection Christmastime.
I made mine with nine layers to make it a bit more fluffy and full. I used AC Cardstock in Spinach and White and it’s hard to see but I did add some glitter to the berries as frost. Now I expect LOTS of kisses from Santa 😉
I tried sneaking a couple of kisses out of my eldest boy as I explained what the tradition with the Mistletoe is – but heck no!!!! When you’re 13 you just don’t kiss your Mommy anymore – only (if you’re ever so lucky) a peck on the cheek. *SIGH* Just have to rely on my youngest boy now and of course my “hubby”/Santa.
That’s all I wanted to show you today…..Happy Friyay, hoping you’ll have a great weekend ❤
