White Gold

You’ve seen me mention this before: I LOVE snow – the white gold from above. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the year for some serious snow cover for several month so I can get my need covered πŸ˜‰

This love of snow and a lady on Facebook (Cindy Jones) are what made my otherwise crazy brain, come up with an idea for my Christmas Dinner Table.

Every year I make place cards – just because I can πŸ˜‰ If I didn’t, my kids would throw a fit. I make them every time for Birthdays, Christmas and New Years.

As I mentioned my idea sprung partly due to Cindy Jones from one of the craft group I’m in on Facebook. She made a beautiful version of Bird’s Snowflake Easel Card (found as a freebie here) and I instantly knew how to make my place cards:

It is downscaled 50% from the original and I used Vanilla AC Cardstock along with Best Creation White Glitter Paper and some gold glitter paper from my stash. I popped the name tag on with pop dots and added a small diamond gem to the middle of the snowflake. As easy as that.

So what do you think?

Who is Who?

Today I want to share with you some nametags/ place cards I made for my youngest son’s school.

I’m known for not keeping my mouth shut and one day I couldn’t help myself commenting on how boring the nametags were. The Teachers reaction: Well….you’re creative….why don’t you make some for us? πŸ˜€ Challenge accepted.

I found the cute Pencil Card in the JGW Back 2 School Kit and simply downsized it a bit (75%) and cut to slits in the backside for a small piece of cardstock to fit for the name. I did this so the tag/card can be used for more than one student.

I used AC Cardstock in Melon, Vanilla, Charcoal, Grapefruit, Ash and White and let my Silhouette do all the work for me. All I had to do was assemble the card/tag.

Happily it was a succes and they loved it. No more boring white nametags in an otherwise colorful school.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to write me a little something – you know I love it ❀

Acorn Shaker

Soon Summer has ended and my favorite season of all – Fall – will be upon us in all its glorious colors and beautiful blue cool sky ❀

I must admit that I haven’t longed for Fall as much this year as the previous years cause Summer here in Denmark hasn’t been all that hot. Still when I look through my scrap papers and I find one with Fall colors, I just can’t wait ’till all the leaves turn and it again is time for hot cocoa and sweaters πŸ˜€

Today I want to show a Fall Easel Card. It’s made from two of Bird’s SVG files: The Easel Card 2 (found hereΒ ) and the Acorn Shaker Place Card from the Autumn Leaves SVG Collection (found here)

For this beautiful card I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla and Olive along with patterned papers from BoBunny – Autumn Song (one of my favorite collections). I “inked” the edges of the card with some Gold Metallic Lustre from DecoArt and used some different color sequins from my stash.

I followed the instructions on making the Acorn Shaker up to the point where you use 7 layers to make the shaker. I just added 7 more layers on top of the Acorn and used gold foil on the top layer. I also made a piece for writing by making an offset of the patterned paper piece and then I added two tiny jewels as stopper.

I’m definitely going to make more Shaker Cards in the future – this was fun!!!

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to write me a little something ❀
