You Trick, I Treat!

Hello – so happy that you decided to visit my blog today 🙂

I have some fun projects to show you – Halloween of course 😉

Very recently Sandy of Simply Crafty SVGs released a series of K Cup Holders and instantly I started wondering about how to make something else with these. We don’t have K Cups in Denmark (all kinds of other Coffee Capsules though) so what could I put in these awesome holders?

Well change the size of the holes in them and they will fit perfectly for Ferrero Rocher chocolates!

And dress them in Halloween papers – then Voila! Ready to go! Perfect for Trick or Treaters or maybe as a hostess gift.

First of is the K Cup Holder (2 Cup) :

DSC_0008

I made this funny and kid-friendly….kind of 😉

I used AC Cardstock in Black, Chocolate, Latte and Melon, red and white pearl paper and decorated with Doodlebug Paper “BooVille” and some Doodlebug Sprinkles that matched.

DSC_0009

The little owl whoooo(‘s) missing his eyes, is from the Silhouette Design Store Design ID #31986 (designed by Susie Hildebrandt)

DSC_0010

I found the tag and text in the Silhouette Design Store too – Tag: Design ID #31986 (designed by Sweet Afton) and text: Design ID #66686 (designed by Sandi Idleman) I used a white sketchpen to draw on the tag.

I used some red/white twine to tied the tag onto the holder.

Cute right? 🙂

Next I made a little more adult holder:

DSC_0004

This is the same holder as before and for this one I used AC Cardstock in Black and Melon, Bazzill Swiss Dot Paper in Green and decorated with Bobunny paper “Wonderfully Wicked” and white and green pearl paper.

The Toads I found in the Cricut design Store (from the Potions and Spells Cartridge)

DSC_0005

The label – Wart of Toad – I found online. There are thousands so take your pick! It’s a print and cut label.

DSC_0006

I decided to keep using the tag and text from before – just seems so fitting. This one is decorated with some Doodlebug Sprinkles in Matte and matching colors. I used green and white twine for tying the label onto the holder.

Finally I made the Triangles K Cup Holder:

DSC_0001

This one is also a bit more adult and so much fun due to the shape 🙂

I used AC Cardstock in Black for this one, white and copper colored pearl paper and patterned paper from Making Memories – “Spellbound” (very old collection)

This holder was of course a bit more challenging to assemble but not hard at all.

DSC_0002

This label is also one I found online – those chocolates could look like brains especially without the paper 😀

DSC_0003

Of course I used the same tag again and the tiny spider is from Doodlebug. It’s tied with white and black twine.

So I had fun with these K Cup Holders and found another use for them. I can’t wait to see what YOU come up with!

Thanks for visiting today – more Halloween coming up soon 😀

Bewitched Cake Stand

Hello… (waving enthusiastically) … just sneaking in today to show you a very fun project I’ve been working on this last week. 🙂

I got the idea from a friend who showed me this picture:

40684094_241544659753572_7144910669375078400_n

First I thought “corny” but then I kept thinking about it and wondering if it could be made in paper. And….yeah it could!

Roaming through files I found that SVG Attic had the right files for it, so I started building.

I wanted mine to be a Halloween inspired Cake Stand and I gathered the files I needed for this: The 3D Witches Boot from the JGW Bewitched Botique kit, the Sunflower 3D Cake Stand from the JGW Sunflower Sunshine kit and the Cats & Pumpkins Hollow Centers Wreath.

I also made the Mini-Candy Cauldron also from the JGW Bewitched Botique kit to sit on top of the stand – I would have liked a cupcake but just didn’t feel like baking 😉

This is how it turned out:

DSC_0009

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Leaf, Black, Melon, Grape, Carrot and Charcoal along with some Purple Pearl Paper, Gold Foiled Cardstock and patterned paper from Doodlebug’s Collections “Boos and Brews” and “Booville”

I used the stem part from the Cake Stand to make the legs (just made it a bit longer) and added some glitter tape onto for striped socks. Inside the legs are two 3/4″ dowels for support.

DSC_0004

The top part of the cake stand is reinforced underneath with 4 platform shaped pieces and the legs are glued unto it with hot glue. I chose to use the Cat and Pumpkin Wreath to place on the top for a fun decoration.

DSC_0008

The boots are downsized by 50% to fit the size of the Stand and the legs are glued into them also with hot glue. I added some glas stones into the boots for weight so the whole stand gets more sturdy.

I used twine, various Doodlebug sprinkles and the small patches etc. that comes along with the boots.

DSC_0012

For the Cauldron I used gold foiled cardstock for the handle and chose to use the spider tag on which I doodled two small eyes and added a black gem.

DSC_0011

Actually it’s a pretty easy projects when you think about it – it’s all about getting that idea. Thank you Sandy for providing me with it. ❤

DSC_0001

Thanks for joining me today – I really hope you like this wacky project. A fun centerpiece on the Halloween table or as decor in the living room….endless possibilities. 🙂

Tiny Freebies 2.0

I am amazed of how many cute freebies are out there – just for the taking. I mean – the designer put in a lot of effort in it, just to give it away. If that isn’t generosity, I don’t know what is.

Now go grab a cuppa – this is a bit long 😀

Today I want to show some more tiny and not so tiny freebies I found and made and I want to start off with the not so tiny freebies 😀

This one has a bit of a story to it as my neighbors – the kindest, nicest people ever – has a bit funny last name and going through an add for a supermarket yesterday, I found a red wine with …. well their last name on it. So I just had to buy it and give it to them….because of the name 😀

DSC_0007

Their last name is Barfod (Barefoot) and it means the same – naked foot 🙂 So it couldn’t be anymore perfect 🙂

So here is where the freebie comes into the picture; I made the Elegant Grapes Gift Tag freebie from SVGCuts to tie onto the bottle. The tag is enlarged somewhat to fit the bottle.

DSC_0005

I made it from AC Cardstock in Leaf, Olive, Wine, Eggplant, Pansy and Plum and I doodled some reflections onto the grapes with a white Sharpie. Then I tied it onto the bottle with some raffia and it’s ready to go next door 🙂

Next I made a Spring Picture using the Tulip with Frame freebie (found under square frames) and Label 8 freebie (found under Labels) from Bird’s Cards:

DSC_0011

This made from AC Cardstock in Banana, Spinach, Peacock and Turf along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Fairie Dust” collection and some purple pearl paper.

I made the Tulip frame larger to fit into the shadow box (from IKEA) and enlarged the label as well to fix the scale.

I added pop dots to the tulips flower head for dimension and to the top layer of the tag as well.

The quote is written with a Silhouette Sketch pen – the text is tripled and placed side to side very close to make it more visible.

Finally I added a small bird into the shadowbox frame along with the picture and it is so cute.

And now to the tiny freebies 🙂

Let’s start of with the Cozy Socks Gift Box freebie from SVGCuts

DSC_0029

I downsized it by 50% and since socks doesn’t fit into a box this small, I used some Werther’s Original candies instead. After I had put in the acetate window, I realized it could also be used for small paper tissues 😀

I used AC Cardstock in Black along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Artisan Style” collection and a small piece of acetate for the window.

A cute, simple and very easy box to make – especially if you’re making lots.

Then I made the very cute Tote Bag freebie from Bird’s Cards:

DSC_0021

This one is downsized by 25% and is made of AC Cardstock in Wave along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Sun Kissed” collection.

I chose to make panels for the inside of the bag too and tied two small sea shell charms onto the bag with a ball chain.

Just perfect for a gift card or maybe for the kids’ beach keepsakes 😉

I also made the same bag downsized by 50%:

DSC_0025

This one is pretty small and I thought it would be awesome as a place card for the Summer party or Confirmation.

It’s made of AC Cardstock in Wave and patterned paper also from Graphic 45’s “Sun Kissed” collection.

I fussy cut the sea turtle and pop dotted him onto the bag.

The tag is actually also a freebie from Bird and I used a sketch pen to write the name onto it and some twine to tie it to the bag handle with a pop dot on the back 😉

The next freebie has kinda the same theme going on:

DSC_0023

This is the Clamshell Box freebie from Simply Crafty Svgs and this is the original size!

I used AC Cardstock in Grape Fruit along with patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “By the Sea” collection. The small gem is from Prima.

A very cute and useful freebie that can also be used for sea shells or maybe some other beach treasures.

Finally I made the gorgeous Night & Day Trinket Box freebie from Dreaming Tree:

DSC_0033

This was the perfect design to used with the Graphic 45 “Midnight Masquerade” collection paper along with glitter paper in Teal and Gold.

The box is downsized to 75% of the original size

A very easy box to make and what a cutie!!!

Well….that was it for today.

I hope you’ve enjoyed the freebies or actually….. I hope you WILL enjoy the freebies as I have and please don’t forget to leave me a small comment when you leave ❤

Easter Egg Shaker Bag

Hello 🙂 So glad you found the time to join me today.

I know I’ve been going a bit cray cray with all kinds of Easter projects lately – I just feel so inspired this year.

This time I’ve thrown myself at the cute Easter Egg Hunt Collection from Bird. I felt like having a bit of fun with the files, so I simply combined two of the files into one – The Easter Egg Shaker Card and the Easter Egg Hunt Gift Bag. I also downsized the two files to 50% (so it holds less egg – I’m not a rich girl 😉 )

DSC_0014

For this project I used AC Cardstock in Lavender and Vanilla along with cream colored Pearl Paper. I also used various sequins and glitter to put inside the shaker part.

I also added a small Prima Flower and some leaves, decorated the front of the bag with some small gems in purple and pink and tied a organza ribbon on as handle. Then I filled the bag with chocolates 😛

All you have to do is follow the instructions videos that Bird made and simply put the shaker part from the card onto the bag insted of the panel piece made for it. I did scramble a bit around with the sizes to make them fit perfectly together – just make sure to group the shaker parts together so they still fit together. The size for the shaker front panel is: 101.46 mm x 78.22 mm (3.994″ x 3.080″ )

Here’s a close-up so you can see the sequins and glitter in the shaker:

DSC_0016

A small but easy and fun project that I really hope you feel like making too 🙂

Thanks for joining me today…..Easter is racing towards us. Have you decorated your house yet and are you done with your Easter craft projects? Me….No…..and NO 😀

Happy Little Hopper

Good evening……well – it is evening now here in Denmark 🙂

I’m just popping in to show you the cutest little bunny I made last night. It’s from Dreaming Tree’s latest bundle Easter Frolics  – the Easter Bunny Egg Box:

DSC_0005

She is made from AC Cardstock in White, Bubblegum, Lemon and Apricot along with Swiss Dot Cardstock from Bazzill in Purple and Pink, Orange and Green glitter cardstock. The facial features are made from black pearl paper and the freakels are Ranger Enamel Accent in Black. All the panels are embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder and I used lots of pop dots for the face, body, arms and feet along with the bow to give it the right dimension.

I dotted the eyes and feet with a White Sharpie and added a small flower gem to the center of the bow.

Now I did say “cute little bunny” but she’s really not that small at all. She can hold LOTS of chocolate Easter eggs 😛 A real treat for the youngsters (and people like me 😀 )

As always with Dreaming Tree the assembly is very easy (did mine without the tutorial) and smooth and in case you just want to get the bunny, you can get her seperately here.

Thanks for stopping by and please brighten my spirits with a small comment on your way out ❤

Tiny Easter Eggs

It’s is closing in on us – need to get those projects done because before you know it, Easter has come and gone.

So my main focus these days is Easter since I don’t have that much made the last couple of years. And there are so many cute projects out there, so you can easily fill your living room, kitchen and bedrooms with lots of cute chickens, Easter Bunnies etc.

Being a slightly active crafter ( 😉 ) I don’t have a lot of space for storage, so I decided to try and downsize some Easter decor and I chose to start with the darling Egg Chocolate Box from Bird’s Eggstravagance SVG Collection

DSC_0028

This tiny cutie is downsized by 50% and I used AC Cardstock in White along with pearl paper in Purple, Gold, Mint and Lilac for it. Then I embellished with different gems and dots from my stash.

To make the Egg a bit more considerable, I made the Cupcake Stand from Bird’s Celebrate With Cupcakes Collection for it to sit on. The stand is also downsized by 50 %.

I love that it fits into one of my Glass Domes – tiny and pretty. It’s about 4.8″ tall.

DSC_0024

But wait – there is more……

You can’t have one without the other, so I made the Egg Luminary also from the Eggstravagance SVG Collection downsized by 50% (now 4.88″ tall)

DSC_0039

I made it from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and Pearl paper in gold. Then I embellished with lots of cream colored pearls from my stash. It’s perfect sized – a LED tea light candle fit perfectly inside.

And just look how gorgeous it is in the dark with a color shifting LED light inside

DSC_0008

Now don’t be fooled by the tiny-ness of these projects. They take the same time to make and assemble as the original sizes and this is definitely something you would want to consider making unless you’re a bit masochistic as I am, cause the bits are very small and it’s somewhat tricky to assemble. I think I just enjoy torturing myself with these tiny projects 😀

Thanks for joining me today. I really hope you enjoyed my tiny eggs and I hope you are as busy Easter crafting as I am. Don’t forget to leave me a comment on your way out ❤

Tick Tock…..

I am finally getting into the game again. Being sick is just horrible for someone like me. Someone who always has to have something to make….to create….to play with. Being forced to lay in bed for a week is torture not to mention one more week of endless coughing, sneezing and a brain that’s just gone completely blank. URG!

Well finally there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and I managed to stay up and do a bit of crafting. And I threw myself at Dreaming Tree’s cute little Dogwood Mantel Clock:

DSC_0013

I used AC Cardstock in Chestnut to make the clock along with patterned paper from Graphic 45 “Rare Oddities” and some wood patterned paper from Kaisercraft. I also used some gold pearl paper for some of the clock detail and more pearl paper in mint, purple and light purple for the flowers. Finally I found some large jewels in my stash for the center of the flowers.

The only thing I thought that was missing for this clock, was the ability to light it up from the inside, so I made it possible by cutting the clock face through all the front layers and added some vellum behind the clock face.

Now I can tell time in the dark too 😉

DSC_0004

This was such a nice little rebound project for me and I feel somewhat like my old self again – about time!!!

Thanks for joining me – please remember to leave a small comment if you liked my little project.

Pucker Up

Believe me!…..this is very unusual for me 😀 Here is a Valentines Day post from me 😀

I could swear that I would never post anything pink, red and gooey but I just got a new toy: The Cricut Maker. So naturally I had to play.

I know absolutely nothing about the Design Space – the Maker’s software, so I had to find things to play with to learn and this cute Lips Gift Box from Bird’s SVGs was just perfect.

DSC_0014

I made the box from AC Cardstock in Rouge and red pearl paper. It is really really easy to make and assemble.

Then I filled it with chocolates:

DSC_0012

Now ready for someone 😀 LOL

Making this really teached me a thing or two about the Maker and love a lot of the features…..I’ll keep playing 🙂

Happy Valentines Day to all of you ❤

Happy Birthday Mom!

My Mom’s birthday is tomorrow and I just want to show you what I made for her (we celebrated today so now it’s ok for me to show you 😀 )

Dreaming Tree recently released the Cupid Crush Bundle and this is where you’ll find the Love Blossom Pop Up Card. DSC_0004

I did alter my version a bit – leaving out some of all the hearts. I also added three flowers from the Apple Blossom Lantern,  also from Dreaming Tree, to the front of the card.

I made the card itself from a piece of Prima “Raspberry Tea Collection” paper. Then I added some white pearl paper that I embossed with a Tuscan Tile pattern.

The flowers are made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud and Shrimp and the leaves are in Grass. Then I added some white pearls along with some gold sequins, Doodlebug jewels and a gold embellishment I happened to have in my stash.

The card is a pop up card and here’s a look of the inside of the card:

DSC_0006

It was this gorgeous lush flower that sold this card to me!

I made it from vellum that I inked with Prima chalk ink. The flower center is made from green vellum and the leaves are AC Cardstock in Grass and Key Lime.

So that was the card.

I also made her a flower decoration:

DSC_0002

This is the Mothers’s Day Bon Bon Bouquet again from Dreaming Tree.

I changed out the heart on the front with a Peony flower from the Peony Gift Box also a Dreaming Tree design.

The box is made from AC Cardstock in White and decorated with panels made from Prima “Raspberry Tea Collection” paper.

The Peony is made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud and Cotton Candy with leaves in Leaf and the center is Banana.

The Bon Bon Flowers are made from AC Cardstock in Rosebud, Shrimp, Cotton Candy, Latté and Robin’s Egg and the leaves and tendrils are made from Leaf and Mint.

All edges are inked with Prima Chalk ink.

I’m very sure my Mom loved it – she loves everything that I make her 😀

Happy 69’th Birthday tomorrow Mom!

To the Great Beyond….

I just love how crafters inspire each other. I got the idea for this project from Trina Struckman from one of the papercraft groups I’m in on Facebook. She made a gorgeous version of the Weihnachtsglocke (Christmas Bell) from Sunshine Hobby Works. When I saw her post, I didn’t see the bells – I saw something completely different.

Do you remember the 1994 movie Stargate? I think it inspired a TV-series among other stuff? Anyways….it’s about this ancient ring-shaped device that creates a wormhole enabling travel to a similar device elsewhere in the universe. Now THAT was what I saw 😀

DSC_0020

I made this from Granite AC Cardstock, grey Pearl cardstock and some glitter paper in Black. I used glow-in-the-dark vinyl for the signs and gold vinyl for the arrows.

DSC_0022

Inside I added two rows of LED strips for light.

DSC_0026

It was so much fun to make and all I really did was leaving out the bells.

It looks cool in the dark too 🙂

DSC_0003

I think it will be a hit next weekend when my son has kids from his class over for a Birthday party since he requested a space/Halloween theme 😀

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think of my wacky idea 😀
