Ghostly Candle Sticks

Hello – yes it’s me again.

Just popping in to show you these awesome new Candle Sticks/Candle Stands 3D for Display that just recently released in the SVG Attic store.

I made all three sizes and they are very easy to make. Only took me an afternoon to make these and just look how cool they came out:

They are all made with just Black AC Cardstock and inked with Ingvild Bolme White Chalk Ink.
I decorated them with some bows made from Ideaology’s Mummy Cloth and added some acrylic balls in which I added some spooky images made from Printable Acetate.
A tribute to my all time favorite series – Supernatural:

I got the idea for the balls from a craft video I saw on Facebook and thought that they would work wonderfully on the displays.
Thank you for joining me for my little blog post today – I’ll soon return with more spookiness.

Mad Hatter’s Mourner’s Hat with a Twist?

Hello – I’m back again this Sunday with more Halloween spookiness. This time from SVG Attic.

I really can’t decided whether it’s a Mad Hatter’s Hat or a Mourner’s Hat. It’s definitely a hat!

I wanted to make the Mourner’s Hat from the JGW Raven Quest kit this Halloween but as I progressed, the project changed due to my hyperactive brain. “I wonder if this can be done…..?” “Hmmmm can I do this…..?”

The answer: Yes! I did it. Presenting the Halloween Mad Hatter’s Mourner’s Hat with a twist:DSC_0006

The hat is made from AC Cardstock in Black and Charcoal and inked with Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink in White.

I made the panels and the little shelves myself with the Silhouette Software. The Panels are embossed with a Bark patterned embossing folder from Darice.

I made small holes in the back of each shelf for the light to shine through.

I added a scratch mark in one of the panels and backed it with vellum – also for light to shine through. I found it in the Silhouette Design Store Design ID #118964 by Sophie Gallo.

Then I got busy decorating the hat with all sorts of nick nack Halloween style I could find in my stash.

The flowers are from Prima, several of the decor pieces are from Ideaology  and the gem swirls are from BoBunny.

I wrapped “Mummy Cloth” around the hat as a band and also around the bow.

One of the most awesome feature, is the Zombie Hand that holds the lantern. It’s also from Ideaology and I love it to bits….It’s so cool.

It’s pretty creepy in the dark:

Haunted Lantern

Hello and welcome back – yes it’s me again. Did I mention that I really love Halloween????

Ha ha once or twice maybe. Yes I love it and I love spookifying everything in sight.

This time it happen to the amazing Lantern 3D Hanging Floral Grille from the Pushing Petals Kit

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Charcoal and Rouge along with some Bazzill Bling Cardstock in a light grey.

The blood border and bloody handprint are from the Silhouette Design Store (Design ID #223575 by Sophie Gallo and Design ID #98189 by Jamie Cripps)

The flowers are from Prima – some single ones that I just put together how I liked and the brads are from my rather large stash.

The Cameo, spider and burlap bow are from Ideaology by Tim Holtz and the spider web is available everywhere these days I think LOL…..

It’s a very easy but detailed lantern to make – not that large but that’s how I like it. It looks awesome in my kitchen with some of my other Halloween decorations.

Thanks for stopping by today….more coming up soon so stay tuned!

Autumn Wind

Nothing is more beautiful than Autumn – in my opinion anyways. I just love this season! The colors are amazing and astonishing, the light is so warm, sky blue, wind is cool and then there is the promise of cold snow….ahhhh can’t wait!!!! 🙂

It is also the season for storms and lots of wind. The best time of year for the Wind Turbine industry at least here in Denmark and we have lots of Wind Turbines. My hubby works in the industry….so I know this is a busy time of year.

Now I don’t have files for a Wind Turbine….at least not yet (*wink* *wink*) but Jodi made the most gorgeous Dutch Windmill this Spring (find it in the Dutch Treat Kit), and that is close enough. So I tied the two together – the season and the Mill and got a beautiful Autumn 3D Windmill:

I made this out of AC Cardstock in Coffee, Leaf, Wine and Apricot along with patterned paper from Prima “Amber Moon” – a gorgeous collection from last year.

I found it fairly simple to make and assemble but you have to follow the tutorial (found here) thoroughly as it’s a complex but very genius construction.

I inked all the edges with distress ink from Ranger and chose to use hot glue for the attachment of the wing part.

Then I decorated with some small pumpkins from Ideaology and leaves from Prima along with a large Prima flower.

I really love how versatile this Mill is – just ready to be decorated for whatever season or holiday.

This Mill actually went to a lady in the Netherlands – the Mother of my son’s gamerfriend. I thought it very fitting to give it to her as a thank you for her welcoming Magnus into her home in February when we visited and for letting her son join Magnus and his Dad on a trip to Germany a couple of weeks ago, where they visited a Gamer Convention.

Ok – enough from me today. Hope you enjoyed it and please do leave me a small comment below. I love to hear from you ❤
