Tiny Easter Eggs

It’s is closing in on us – need to get those projects done because before you know it, Easter has come and gone.

So my main focus these days is Easter since I don’t have that much made the last couple of years. And there are so many cute projects out there, so you can easily fill your living room, kitchen and bedrooms with lots of cute chickens, Easter Bunnies etc.

Being a slightly active crafter ( 😉 ) I don’t have a lot of space for storage, so I decided to try and downsize some Easter decor and I chose to start with the darling Egg Chocolate Box from Bird’s Eggstravagance SVG Collection

This tiny cutie is downsized by 50% and I used AC Cardstock in White along with pearl paper in Purple, Gold, Mint and Lilac for it. Then I embellished with different gems and dots from my stash.

To make the Egg a bit more considerable, I made the Cupcake Stand from Bird’s Celebrate With Cupcakes Collection for it to sit on. The stand is also downsized by 50 %.

I love that it fits into one of my Glass Domes – tiny and pretty. It’s about 4.8″ tall.

But wait – there is more……

You can’t have one without the other, so I made the Egg Luminary also from the Eggstravagance SVG Collection downsized by 50% (now 4.88″ tall)

I made it from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and Pearl paper in gold. Then I embellished with lots of cream colored pearls from my stash. It’s perfect sized – a LED tea light candle fit perfectly inside.

And just look how gorgeous it is in the dark with a color shifting LED light inside

Now don’t be fooled by the tiny-ness of these projects. They take the same time to make and assemble as the original sizes and this is definitely something you would want to consider making unless you’re a bit masochistic as I am, cause the bits are very small and it’s somewhat tricky to assemble. I think I just enjoy torturing myself with these tiny projects 😀

Thanks for joining me today. I really hope you enjoyed my tiny eggs and I hope you are as busy Easter crafting as I am. Don’t forget to leave me a comment on your way out ❤

Halloweenish Urne

You know me. I just had to. Halloween is only 8 month away…..better get started on some projects to make it in time 😀

I realized that the Heart Shaped Lantern from Bird’s Truly, Madly, Deeply Collection kinda looks like an urne so naturally I thought of Halloween.

I changed out the pattern again like with the Moroccan Lantern I made and voila!:

I found the skull pattern in the Silhouette Design Store ID #48665 and after a lot of modifying, welding and playing around, I was satisfied.

The Lantern is made from AC Cardstock in Black and Shadow along with Vellum.

I rubbed some Prima Brass Metallic Wax onto the panels to resemble rust as if the urne was made of metal/iron.

I also embossed the lid panels with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and finally I placed a color-shifting LED light inside.

Come Halloween I’ll be ready 😀

Thanks for joining me today and please don’t forget to leave me a small comment ❤

Bling Bling Pictures

Happy Wednesday  – I so happy to see you 🙂

Ever since I discovered Bird’s beautiful cards from the Festive Gems Collection, I’ve been wanting to make them. But since Christmas cards are a thing of the past here in Denmark due to overpriced postage and poor postal service, I thought it had to be something different than cards.

Adding two and two together (oh yes I’m so NOT a math genius) I decided to make them as small pictures to hang in my living room for Christmas. That’s where the Square Shadow Box Flower Frame from the Picture Perfect Collection come in the “picture.”

So here is the Rhinestone Snowflake Picture:

All the frames are made in AC Cardstock in White and decorated with Maja Design Patterned paper “Vintage Frost”

I discovered that I once had bought a Rhinestone Setter Tool from Silhouette and boy did this come in handy for these pictures 😀

These stones are clear and the slightly larger gems are Goosebumps from Queen & Co.

I also added some Prima holly and some snowflakes I found in my stash.

Next is the Rhinestone Christmas Tree Picture:

For this one I used two different sizes Silhouette Gems in green and some larger gems from MME. They are a bit different in color but that just adds to the beauty of the picture.

Here I added a Prima Poinsettia and some Prima leaves along with a gold gem from the Scandinavian company Vivi Gade.

Then there’s the Rhinestone Bauble Picture:

This cutie features two different size Silhouette gems in red and some larger gems from Vivi Gade.

For the bauble top I used Gold Stickles and I also added a Prima Poinsettia on some gold and green Prima leaves. The flower center is a large gold gem from Vivi Gade.

Last but not least I made the Rhinestone Wreath Picture:

For this picture I used two different size Silhouette Gems and some larger gems from Vivi Gade in red.

The bow is from DIY AC and this pictures has also a Prima Poinsettia with Holly and a gem from Vivi Gade.

This was a fun but a bit time consuming project – but hey….I now have a gorgeous collection of small Christmas pictures to hand on my wall this Christmas and many to come.

Thanks for joining me today – I hope you found some inspiration in my projects and that you get a lot of Christmas crafting done ❤

Snowy Swirls

Sometimes I just can’t believe how alike some of us think. Like this project I’m about to show you.

I made mine a while back and really thought “Hey! This is an awesome idea nobody before me has thought of”……until Lee Cox released her blog post with the gorgeous Gingerbread House Clock she made in red, white and brown (check it out here)

Yup great minds think alike (ha ha ha or just crazy minds) and she had made one just like it too. I’m talking about the 3D Swirly Christmas Tree (a freebie found here)

She too had made it into a 3D creation by gluing six trees together. I just added a second layer of Best Creation White Glitter paper. This was made by making an internal offset of the tree – mine is 1 cm (0.039″)

Such an easy project that looks beautiful during the day and at night…….

…it’s gorgeous!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and please remember to leave me a small greeting 🙂

Time for Christmas

It’s getting closer and closer 🙂 And I for one am like a child – I can’t wait.

Talking about Christmas in all it’s glory, glitter and coziness ❤

One of my new Christmas decorations is the Gingerbread House Clock from Bird’s Christmastime SVG Collection:

The house itself is made from AC Cardstock in Caramel and decorated with White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and pink/rose colored POW Glitter paper from AC. The base is made from White AC Cardstock and the panels are patterned paper from My Minds Eye “Colorful Christmas”. The vellum is from a local craft store and is patterned with white swirls.

I embellished with different sizes of white glitter domes and painted the second hand with a white sharpie and rose colored Stickles glue.

As I was thinking it would be awesome to tell time at night also, I cut out the numbers on the watch through all the layers and added some vellum behind – works like a charm 😉

Love this Gingerbread House Clock. It’s tick tock’ing away in my living room and is a gorgeous addition to all my other luminary Christmas Decorations.

Thanks for stopping by today – I’ll be back soon with another Christmas project 😉

White Gold

You’ve seen me mention this before: I LOVE snow – the white gold from above. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the year for some serious snow cover for several month so I can get my need covered 😉

This love of snow and a lady on Facebook (Cindy Jones) are what made my otherwise crazy brain, come up with an idea for my Christmas Dinner Table.

Every year I make place cards – just because I can 😉 If I didn’t, my kids would throw a fit. I make them every time for Birthdays, Christmas and New Years.

As I mentioned my idea sprung partly due to Cindy Jones from one of the craft group I’m in on Facebook. She made a beautiful version of Bird’s Snowflake Easel Card (found as a freebie here) and I instantly knew how to make my place cards:

It is downscaled 50% from the original and I used Vanilla AC Cardstock along with Best Creation White Glitter Paper and some gold glitter paper from my stash. I popped the name tag on with pop dots and added a small diamond gem to the middle of the snowflake. As easy as that.

So what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Deadly Treats

Who doesn’t love all the yummy Halloween candy? I for one am a big fan of the spooky sweets and so are my kids. Mommy’s still hoping that the youngest will choose to have his Birthday Party as a Halloween Party but we will have to see. They grow up so fast and soon they race past Mommy who’s still a little child when it comes to Halloween. Can you tell???? 😀

In this post I will show you the last project I made from Bird’s Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection – the Coffin Treat Box:

This box I made from AC Cardstock in Black along with patterned paper from Carta Bella’s “Trick or Treat”. I inked all the edges with white chalk ink from Prima and added two small gems on the “RIP” sign. Then I filled it with lots of yummy treats – all ready for the big day – Oct. 31st. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a small comment on how your liking the projects ❤

Looking to scare som guests at your next Halloween party or do you just (like me) enjoy some spooky horrifying decorations?

Look no further – The Coffin Luminary is here fresh from Bird’s Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection

I made this from AC Cardstock in Black and White along with patterned paper from Carta Bella “Trick or Treat.” I inked all the edges with white chalk ink from Prima, added two gems to the “RIP” sign and put in some color-changing LED lights.

This rather large decoration looks a bit spooky in daylight but watch what happens when nighttime comes…..

Can you tell I’m loving this? 😀

Spooky Light Box

This weekend the magnificent Bird released a fantastic new Halloween Collection – The Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection from where you’ll find several fun and spooky projects for your Halloween party or decorations.

I threw myself at the Spooky Light Box

I wanted it to match some of my other Halloween decorations, so I made it in Black, Ash, Stone and Squash AC Cardstock – still pretty spooky in daylight but life really comes into it at night with at light behind….

I really love these Light Boxes. They are so easy to make and assemble and they are so amazing to look at both during the day but especially at night

Thanks for yet another great design Bird!

Now onto more fun from this great collection………………

– To be continued –

Dun Dun Dun Dun …….

….we all know this tune! You know – the Theme from Jaws! A fitting soundtrack for my tiny post today 😀

The other day when I posted the Acorn Shaker, Team Member Lee Cox mentioned her idea of making a shaker card from the latest collection by Bird – Jawsome but she didn’t have the time for it, so she gave the idea to me. Trying my best to honor her wicked idea, here is what I came up with:

I used the shark from the Shark Window Card and made it into a shaker card by adding 7 layers behind the front layer with the acetate. I removed the teeth on the back layers to give more room for shaking and made two front layers with teeth – one in red and one in white – to give the impression of bloody teeth. I also cut out tiny fish skeletons in white pearl paper and added a bit of red ink to make them look bloody 😀

The background paper I found in the Silhouette Design Store but any sea or wave paper could do.

The card is a freebie from the Card Bundles – the Pop-Up Slider Card from Card Bases. I added the green panels (they are actually the same olive green as the background) to give it a little extra and cut the text from red cardstock in a blood dripping font 😀

Finally I tied some red, white, grey and black raffia onto the slider (doesn’t show in the picture 😦 ) and added two small black pearls as eyes.

Here’s a little close-up:

Thanks for stopping by to witness the twisted and bloody mind of mine (and Lee Cox’s) and don’t forget to tell what you think of this bloody fish-eating shark card 😀
