Fun, Fair and Fairytales….

Yay….I’m back on my blog. My absence has not been voluntary but due to a nasty fall last week that has left me with a sprained big toe so walking is not the easiest. So I’ve still been able to craft (only death or paralysis can keep me away from that) but I haven’t been able to shoot any decent pictures of my projects. But today….finally…..I was able with some help.

You’ve properbly seen one or two of my downsized houses and since Winter is still around yet Spring is around the corner, I thought I needed some end of winter/spring decor around the house. So I made these three downsized projects.

First of is the Asian Pagoda from SVGCuts Spring Blossom Kit

DSC_0007

This cutie is downsized to by 50% and that made it a bit more tricky to make even though I think it’s pretty easy. Just not much room for fat fingers in some of the corners πŸ˜‰

I made it from AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Peach, Pansy, Spinach, Pacific and Vanilla along with patterned papers from Graphic 45s Secret Garden and Botanical Tea.

All edges are inked with chalk ink pads from Prima and the tiny gems are from my stash.

This is totally cute in this small size ❀

Next I made the Ferris Wheel from Summer Street Carnival Kit:

DSC_0012

This one is also downsized by 50% and I must admit that it was much easier and fun to make it in this small size or maybe I’ve just practiced a lot more since last time I made it in full size.

I used AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Grass, Coffee, Banana and Vanilla along with patterned paper from Graphic 45s Time To Celebrate.

I inked all edges with chalk ink pad from Prima, used hibachi skewers for the wheel and the carts and used some Doodlebug Sprinkles as embellishment.

I originally wanted to install lights in this but thought about it and not everything I make has to have lights πŸ˜€

Finally I made the Castle from Dreaming Trees Enchanted Winterland Bundle:

DSC_0016

Like the two other projects, I downsized this one too by 50% and it didn’t make it any less cute πŸ™‚ It was a bit tough to reach into some of the places and gluing down the middle building to the large tower, but otherwise it just went together like a charm.

I used AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Turf, Ocean and Pansy along with patterned paper from Graphic 45s newest collection Fairie Dust and Best Creation White Glitter Paper.

I inked all the patterned paper edges with Chalk ink pads from Prima and found some small pearls to stick and glue on tooth picks for the flags and roofs of the towers.

In this one I have installed light and I went for the “Winter-is-over-and-the-snow-is-melting-in-Fairie-Land” kinda look πŸ˜€ I think I succeeded πŸ™‚

Tomorrow I’ll be back to show you a project that I finally managed to finish and that is something out of this world πŸ˜‰

Thanks for visiting today – hope you’ll come back tomorrow to find out what I’ve been up to πŸ˜‰

Yuletide Greetings

Hello again πŸ™‚ So nice of you to come back again πŸ™‚

Today I’m going to show you the cards I made for the gift bags and presents I made for my girlfriends.

Really I had stopped making Christmas cards since it’s so difficult to send and waaay to expensive, but since I gave the bags away last Friday at my Birthday party, I thought it only fitting to have a card along with the presents.

And I just had to make these cards! I’m talking about SVGCuts’ Yuletide Box Cards. I fell in love with these instantly and how awesome is it that they are so easy and fast to make.

First of the Star Box Card:

DSC_0006

It’s made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with White Glitter cardstock from Best Creation and Gold Foil. I simply added a small star gem in the middle – it really didn’t need anything else.

Then there’s the Nativity Box Card:

DSC_0008

This is made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with gold foil and gold glitter paper along with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle”

On to the Gingerbread House Box Card:

This cutie is made from AC Cardstock in Chocolate and decorated with White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and different dots the colored ones from Doodlebug Design. Oh it’s so yummy πŸ˜›

Next is the Rooftops Box Card:

DSC_0014

This card is made from White, Black and Banana AC Cardstock and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” I also painted on some Stickles Glitter glue to make it look frosty πŸ™‚

Finally I made the Amaryllis Box Card (my favorite)

DSC_0012

This card is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Rouge, Crimson, Pine and Spinach and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” and gold foil. I added some small dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers.

I really hope the girls are happy with the small gift I made for them. I just didn’t feel like leaving them out of the joy of giving ❀

Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you too enjoyed the projects I made and that it gave you some inspiration for making your own presents.

Star Presents

Hello again πŸ™‚ So happy you’re here today

I promised I would let you see the presents inside the giftbags I showed you Saturday and here they are:

DSC_0032

The Star Gift Box is from Bird’s SVGs You’re a Star SVG CollectionΒ and the Poinsettia is the one from Bird’s White Christmas SVG Collection.

I downsized the box to 75% and made the Poinsettia to fit. I used AC Cardstock in White for the box and some of the Poinsettia and AC Cardstock in Spinach for the Poinsettia leaves. Then I decorated the box with papers from Maja Design and Riddersholm Design to match the giftbags and added a small Vivi Gade jewel in the flower center. I used Best Creation Glitter paper for the smallest flower and I also used Stickles Holly Glitter Glue on the Poinsettia leaves. What I put inside the boxes is a secret πŸ˜‰

Here are some close-ups of the boxes:

Flaky Gifts

Hello – so nice of you to drop in πŸ™‚

Today I want to show you some giftbags I made for my girlfriends. We usually give each other Christmas presents, but this year is different due to different circumstances, so most of them are skipping it this year. Well that doesn’t stop me from giving something to them! So I made the following giftbags:

DSC_0022

This giftbag is the one from Bird’s SVGs Home for Christmas SVG Collection. I used Maja patterned paper “I wish”, “Joyous Winterdays” and “Vintage Frost Basics” and Best Creation Glitter cardstock in white. For the handle I used a thick hemp cord.

The following bags are the same giftbag but I changed the snowflake in the middle. I used the freebie snowflakes and simply made an offset of the flake and welded it to a circle. Might take a bit of trying but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. I use Silhouette Cameo for cutting.

DSC_0020

This bag is made from Danish Riddersholm patterned paper “The Day Before” and some shimmery paper from my stash.

DSC_0018

This bag is also made from Riddersholm paper and shimmery paper πŸ™‚ I also want to mention that I altered the snowflake a tiny bit by adding some circles.

DSC_0028

This bag is made from Maja “Vintage Frost Basic” paper and glitter POW paper from AC.

DSC_0030

The same goes for this beautiful bag πŸ™‚

Finally for this bag I used “Joyous Winterdays” from Maja Design and the snowflake is made from self-adhesive glitter paper from Artemio.

These bags are so awesome for gift giving but can also be used as luminaries πŸ™‚

That’s it for today πŸ™‚ Stay tuned for the gift inside the bags coming up early next week πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think of the bags ❀

Hanging Poinsettia

Hello and thanks for stopping by πŸ™‚

Today I want to show you a hanging decoration I made using the beautiful poinsettia from Bird’s SVGs White Christmas Collection:

DSC_0004

I made the same Poinsettia with holly and pine as the 5″ by 7″ card but enlarged it to fit the 12″x12″ cutting mat. So it’s pretty big πŸ™‚

I also made it double sided so it can hang in a window and be seen from both sides. This makes it pretty thick and sturdy as well.

I used AC Cardstock in Pine, Crimson, Forrest and Rouge along with some patterned cardstock in a lighter green. I also used White Best Creation Glitter Cardstock and some self-adhesive glitter cardstock from Artemio in green.

Finally I simply punched a hole in a top berry to thread my string and voila! It’s ready to hang.

Thanks for stopping by today – be sure to visit soon as I’m showing more Christmas projects in the following days πŸ™‚ Oh and please leave a small comment for me πŸ˜‰

The Joy of Giving

Hello and happy 2nd Sunday of Advent

Today I want to show you a beautiful gift box I made from the new kit by SVG Attic called JGW Christmas Botanica

DSC_0023

The Poinsettia 3D Flower Topped Box is perfect for a small hostess gift or even a Christmas gift.

I made the box in AC Cardstock in Rouge, Crimson, Olive and White and decorated it with patterned paper from Swedish Maja Design Paper “I Wish” and Best Creation White Glitter Paper.

DSC_0025

I inked all the edges with chalk ink from Prima and sprinkled some Glass Glitter Gold Rush from Finnabair onto the flower center. Finally I added some gold glitter dots to the snowflake.

DSC_0029

I can’t wait to be giving this one away…..

Thanks for joining me today – I still have lots of projects to show you so don’t stray too far πŸ˜‰

New to SVG Attic? Β Check out these awesome places!

Snowy Swirls

Sometimes I just can’t believe how alike some of us think. Like this project I’m about to show you.

I made mine a while back and really thought “Hey! This is an awesome idea nobody before me has thought of”……until Lee Cox released her blog post with the gorgeous Gingerbread House Clock she made in red, white and brown (check it out here)

Yup great minds think alike (ha ha ha or just crazy minds) and she had made one just like it too. I’m talking about the 3D Swirly Christmas Tree (a freebie found here)

DSC_0012

She too had made it into a 3D creation by gluing six trees together. I just added a second layer of Best Creation White Glitter paper. This was made by making an internal offset of the tree – mine is 1 cm (0.039″)

Such an easy project that looks beautiful during the day and at night…….

DSC_0006

…it’s gorgeous!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and please remember to leave me a small greeting πŸ™‚

Time for Christmas

It’s getting closer and closer πŸ™‚ And I for one am like a child – I can’t wait.

Talking about Christmas in all it’s glory, glitter and coziness ❀

One of my new Christmas decorations is the Gingerbread House Clock from Bird’s Christmastime SVG Collection:

DSC_0010

The house itself is made from AC Cardstock in Caramel and decorated with White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and pink/rose colored POW Glitter paper from AC. The base is made from White AC Cardstock and the panels are patterned paper from My Minds Eye “Colorful Christmas”. The vellum is from a local craft store and is patterned with white swirls.

I embellished with different sizes of white glitter domes and painted the second hand with a white sharpie and rose colored Stickles glue.

As I was thinking it would be awesome to tell time at night also, I cut out the numbers on the watch through all the layers and added some vellum behind – works like a charm πŸ˜‰

DSC_0008

Love this Gingerbread House Clock. It’s tick tock’ing away in my living room and is a gorgeous addition to all my other luminary Christmas Decorations.

Thanks for stopping by today – I’ll be back soon with another Christmas project πŸ˜‰

White Gold

You’ve seen me mention this before: I LOVE snow – the white gold from above. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the year for some serious snow cover for several month so I can get my need covered πŸ˜‰

This love of snow and a lady on Facebook (Cindy Jones) are what made my otherwise crazy brain, come up with an idea for my Christmas Dinner Table.

Every year I make place cards – just because I can πŸ˜‰ If I didn’t, my kids would throw a fit. I make them every time for Birthdays, Christmas and New Years.

As I mentioned my idea sprung partly due to Cindy Jones from one of the craft group I’m in on Facebook. She made a beautiful version of Bird’s Snowflake Easel Card (found as a freebie here) and I instantly knew how to make my place cards:

DSC_0007

It is downscaled 50% from the original and I used Vanilla AC Cardstock along with Best Creation White Glitter Paper and some gold glitter paper from my stash. I popped the name tag on with pop dots and added a small diamond gem to the middle of the snowflake. As easy as that.

So what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by πŸ™‚
