Happy Snowman

The calendar says Winter and Winter equals snow…..at least in some places. We have only had a few flakes hit the ground but it sure has gotten cold enough for the white gold to make it’s glorious entry. Yeah it’s hard being a winter/snow lover in Denmark these days.

While still eagerly awaiting some heavier snowfall, I made this tiny cute Smiling Snowman from Simply Crafty SVGs.

dsc_0033

He is made from AC Cardstock in White, Chestnut, Black and Melon and decorated with Best Creation White Glitter paper and AC POW Glitter paper in Purple and Teal.

I downsized him to 50% of the original and that only made him cuter 🙂

I also made him a tiny lantern to keep him cozy in those looooong cold winter nights. It’s made from the Mini Hanging Lantern (freebie) and the Square Classic Lantern (the one with the cross windows).

dsc_0037

I simply added the cross windows to the Mini Hanging Lantern and then I shrunk it down a lot to make it fit in size for the tiny snowman. I also added a tiny LED light inside it.

Now he can keep me company while waiting for a Winter Miracle in the form of snow.

Thanks for stopping by – please come back soon  and also please leave me a comment below.

Let it Snow

Ahhhh January! Once a season full of snow and ice but now……grey, dull, warm and rainy. Uggg!

I really miss snow – sooo much. Knowing that a lot of people hate it because it makes everything slippery and cold, I still love how it lights up everything and dimming down all noise and sounds. I love the sound it makes when walking in it and I love the different beautiful shapes of snowflakes.

So with hope still intact, I made two snowflake projects I want to show you.

First of is the new gorgeous Snowflake Slot Form Swirls 3D Ornament:

dsc_0020

I made it in 75% of the original and used AC Cardstock in White and white glitter paper from Best Creation.

It is incredible easy to cut and assemble – just takes a few hours from start to finish and it looks so much like a wood ornament.

I do like to dab a little glue here and there so nothing accidentally moves and it remains super sturdy.

Next I made the 3D Snowflake Northern Cross Star from the JGW Snowflake Stars kit:

dsc_0010

I made this in it’s original size and it do require a lot of paper – but the result is just amazing!!!

I made it from AC Cardstock in White and Charcoal and decorated with white glitter paper from Best Creation and Silver Metallic paper from Tim Holtz.

dsc_0012

Seems like I want to light up everything, so I added holes in the different layers in the lid of the box plus one hole on the side of the box through both lid and base for the string of LED lights to come through.

dsc_0011

I also added panels of Silver Metallic paper on the inside of the base for the lights to reflect on, hoping for a greater light effect.

dsc_0002

Now I hope for some snow to match my new pretty snowflakes – if you have any to spare – just send it my way please.

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see you again next time.

Christmas Season

Hello and welcome to my blog – welcome again if you’ve been here before 😉

This Christmas I’ve been very busy making paper projects for DT blog posts, so there haven’t been much time to make anything else.

But I made time! This post is about some of the things I just had to make for myself.

I do have a HUGE stash of Christmas paper but I seriously fell in love with one particular series this year: Christmas Season from Maja Design. So that is what I’ve been using for all of the following things I made and with coordinating colors of AC Cardstock.

To kick this off, I made the seriously adorable Gnome from Simply Crafty SVGs….or rather Gnomes:

DSC_0010

These are downsized to 75% and they are to go on my Christmas Dinner Table this year. They are just so darn cute!

I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the hat brim and some tiny pom-poms on the top of the Hat.

Here a better look at the paper on the body/booty 😉 :

DSC_0007

Next I made the freebie Victorian Treat Cone from Dreaming Tree:

DSC_0014

For the handle I used Pine Twine from Tim Holtz Ideaology and tree small holly leaves from Prima. Then I decorated with some red gems from my stash.

It’s kinda hard to see, but I made a little change on the curved part of the cone as I took the snowflake and stars from the Let it Snow Pop Up Card from the Tis the Season Pop Up Card Bundle also from Dreaming Tree and added it to the cone. I properbly should have added some contrasting paper behind to make it more visual.

DSC_0018

Then I made the gorgeous Snowflake Bag from the Toy Land SVG Kit from SVG Cuts:

DSC_0012

The bag is downsized by 50% and is still pretty large so just imagine what a large gift you can put inside if you make it in the original size!

The center snowflake is made from White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and the handle is Red Tinsel Twine from Tim Holtz.

It might look difficult to make but boy was it easy ❤

Finally I made the stunning Toy Soldier also from the Toy Land SVG Kit:

DSC_0002

This handsome fellow is also downsized by 50% and that makes it a bit more challenging to make. There are a few oopsies here and there but nothing too grave and I think I hid it quite well.

I used Scrapper’s Floss for the boots and a red gem from my stash for the hat ornament.

I didn’t only make one Soldier – I made two and they are also going on the dinner table for Christmas Eve.

DSC_0004

See it’s not indifferent how you place the arm on the Soldier – it kinda has a large impact on the whole project. Oh well – they don’t get to stand next to each other anyways 😉

I had a lot of fun with these projects and now the table is set for Monday the 24th. 🙂 I only have one more Christmas project to show you this Sunday and then it’s time to turn the attention to something else. Taking a rest is not an option for me LOL 😀

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see you Sunday ❤ and please leave me a comment below.

Christmas Time

I want to show you what I’ve been up to this past week. It involves these:

tim-holtz-dimensional-domes-shakers-pic_large

I fell in love with them instantly and knew exactly what I wanted to used them for.

Christmas Tags for this years presents!

I used the Tag Thanks Latte and stripped away everything but the scalloped base and the inside circle.

DSC_0002

I didn’t feel like making a very detailed tag because I felt the dome, the glitter and the small image inside the dome was details enough.

I used DCWV “Christmas Plaid” paper and Tim Holtz Ideaology Gold Kraft-Stock for the tag.

Inside the dome is a print and cut motive of pinecones with branches from Carta Bella’s “Let it Snow” collection along with Diamond Sugar Dust from Craft Décor.

I embossed and sanded the gold paper for effect and used gold twine to tie it unto the presents.

DSC_0004

And I didn’t stop here…..

I was on a roll with these domes and decided to use them for this years place cards for the Christmas Table:

DSC_0008

The place cards are the JGW Snowflake Placecards.

They are made from Kraft Cardstock, Ideaology Gold Paper, white pearl paper and Best Creation White Glitter Paper.

Inside the dome is a print and cut from Carta Bella’s “Christmas Delivery” collection and Diamond Sugar Dust from Craft Décor. I also wrote “Merry Christmas” in Danish.

DSC_0016

Instead of using a candy inside the tag, I used snowflake printed vellum to write the names and decorated with a border of a snowflake circle (design ID #34350) I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

Then, for a fun detail, I placed a small led light inside the tag:

DSC_0013

It’s a bit hard to see in the picture, but it really lights up the name nicely.

As a final detail, I tied some gold tinsel on top of the place card.

And there….I’m all set for Christmas now.

Thanks for joining me today. I’m back again next Sunday for a final Christmas project.

Dimensional Ornaments

Happy 2nd December – YAY…..we’re officially in the month of Christmas and counting down to the big day/night. And on top of that – it’s 1st Sunday in Advent. Lighting the first candle today 😀

Yeah – I’m still like a kid (in oh so many ways 😉 ) that gets all excited about Christmas. My decorations were up by mid November, we’ve startet on our Advent Calendars (me and the kids) and today is present day. The kids get a present each in their “Stocking” – usually money cause that’s all they want (yes I have big kids now 😀 ).

I have been busy all week making myself some new Christmas Ornaments from SVG Attic and as I’m a nut for Graphic 45 paper, I found all the Christmas collections I had in store and chose out some patterns that would work for this project.

DSC_0011

All of these ornaments are made double sided so it can be seen from all sides.

Ok – let’s get started! First one is the Patchwork 3D Star Ornament from the Just Be Claus kit:

DSC_0025

For this I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla and several patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “St. Nicholas” Then I inked the edges with Distress Ink.

I also downsized the ornament to 75% of the original so it won’t be too big for our tree.

Then I made the Snowflake 3D Six Point Star Ornament from the Winter illuminations kit:

DSC_0060

I also used AC Cardstock for this one in Cranberry and patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “Winter Wonderland.” This too is inked with Distress Ink and downsized to 75%

Next is the Poinsettia 3D Slice Form Ornament:

DSC_0023

This is made from AC Cardstock in Cranberry, Tim Holtz Metallic Paper in Gold, White Glitter paper from Best Creation and patterned paper from Graphic 45’s “A Christmas Carol”

This is downsized by 50% and inked with Distress Ink. I also added a gem to the flower center on both sides.

Then I made the 3D Snowflake with Triangle Points:

DSC_0054

I used AC Cardstock in White and White Glitter Paper from Best Creation.

I then added two glass snowflakes from my stash and glued two snowflake sequins onto those for a little extra.

This one is made in the original size.

Finally I made the Snowflake 3D Slot Form also from the Winter Illuminations kit:

DSC_0061

It is, like the previous ornament, made from AC Cardstock in White and White Glitter paper from Best Creation.

This one is also downsized to 75%

Wow – that was a bit long – sorry about that. Hope you like them despite this and if you do, please leave a little love in a comment below.

Until next time – have a wonderful 1st Sunday in Advent ❤

Fun, Fair and Fairytales….

Yay….I’m back on my blog. My absence has not been voluntary but due to a nasty fall last week that has left me with a sprained big toe so walking is not the easiest. So I’ve still been able to craft (only death or paralysis can keep me away from that) but I haven’t been able to shoot any decent pictures of my projects. But today….finally…..I was able with some help.

You’ve properbly seen one or two of my downsized houses and since Winter is still around yet Spring is around the corner, I thought I needed some end of winter/spring decor around the house. So I made these three downsized projects.

First of is the Asian Pagoda from SVGCuts Spring Blossom Kit

DSC_0007

This cutie is downsized to by 50% and that made it a bit more tricky to make even though I think it’s pretty easy. Just not much room for fat fingers in some of the corners 😉

I made it from AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Peach, Pansy, Spinach, Pacific and Vanilla along with patterned papers from Graphic 45s Secret Garden and Botanical Tea.

All edges are inked with chalk ink pads from Prima and the tiny gems are from my stash.

This is totally cute in this small size ❤

Next I made the Ferris Wheel from Summer Street Carnival Kit:

DSC_0012

This one is also downsized by 50% and I must admit that it was much easier and fun to make it in this small size or maybe I’ve just practiced a lot more since last time I made it in full size.

I used AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Grass, Coffee, Banana and Vanilla along with patterned paper from Graphic 45s Time To Celebrate.

I inked all edges with chalk ink pad from Prima, used hibachi skewers for the wheel and the carts and used some Doodlebug Sprinkles as embellishment.

I originally wanted to install lights in this but thought about it and not everything I make has to have lights 😀

Finally I made the Castle from Dreaming Trees Enchanted Winterland Bundle:

DSC_0016

Like the two other projects, I downsized this one too by 50% and it didn’t make it any less cute 🙂 It was a bit tough to reach into some of the places and gluing down the middle building to the large tower, but otherwise it just went together like a charm.

I used AC Cardstock in Grapefruit, Turf, Ocean and Pansy along with patterned paper from Graphic 45s newest collection Fairie Dust and Best Creation White Glitter Paper.

I inked all the patterned paper edges with Chalk ink pads from Prima and found some small pearls to stick and glue on tooth picks for the flags and roofs of the towers.

In this one I have installed light and I went for the “Winter-is-over-and-the-snow-is-melting-in-Fairie-Land” kinda look 😀 I think I succeeded 🙂

Tomorrow I’ll be back to show you a project that I finally managed to finish and that is something out of this world 😉

Thanks for visiting today – hope you’ll come back tomorrow to find out what I’ve been up to 😉

Yuletide Greetings

Hello again 🙂 So nice of you to come back again 🙂

Today I’m going to show you the cards I made for the gift bags and presents I made for my girlfriends.

Really I had stopped making Christmas cards since it’s so difficult to send and waaay to expensive, but since I gave the bags away last Friday at my Birthday party, I thought it only fitting to have a card along with the presents.

And I just had to make these cards! I’m talking about SVGCuts’ Yuletide Box Cards. I fell in love with these instantly and how awesome is it that they are so easy and fast to make.

First of the Star Box Card:

DSC_0006

It’s made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with White Glitter cardstock from Best Creation and Gold Foil. I simply added a small star gem in the middle – it really didn’t need anything else.

Then there’s the Nativity Box Card:

DSC_0008

This is made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with gold foil and gold glitter paper along with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle”

On to the Gingerbread House Box Card:

DSC_0010

This cutie is made from AC Cardstock in Chocolate and decorated with White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and different dots the colored ones from Doodlebug Design. Oh it’s so yummy 😛

Next is the Rooftops Box Card:

DSC_0014

This card is made from White, Black and Banana AC Cardstock and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” I also painted on some Stickles Glitter glue to make it look frosty 🙂

Finally I made the Amaryllis Box Card (my favorite)

DSC_0012

This card is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Rouge, Crimson, Pine and Spinach and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” and gold foil. I added some small dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers.

I really hope the girls are happy with the small gift I made for them. I just didn’t feel like leaving them out of the joy of giving ❤

Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you too enjoyed the projects I made and that it gave you some inspiration for making your own presents.

Star Presents

Hello again 🙂 So happy you’re here today

I promised I would let you see the presents inside the giftbags I showed you Saturday and here they are:

DSC_0032

The Star Gift Box is from Bird’s SVGs You’re a Star SVG Collection and the Poinsettia is the one from Bird’s White Christmas SVG Collection.

I downsized the box to 75% and made the Poinsettia to fit. I used AC Cardstock in White for the box and some of the Poinsettia and AC Cardstock in Spinach for the Poinsettia leaves. Then I decorated the box with papers from Maja Design and Riddersholm Design to match the giftbags and added a small Vivi Gade jewel in the flower center. I used Best Creation Glitter paper for the smallest flower and I also used Stickles Holly Glitter Glue on the Poinsettia leaves. What I put inside the boxes is a secret 😉

Here are some close-ups of the boxes:

Flaky Gifts

Hello – so nice of you to drop in 🙂

Today I want to show you some giftbags I made for my girlfriends. We usually give each other Christmas presents, but this year is different due to different circumstances, so most of them are skipping it this year. Well that doesn’t stop me from giving something to them! So I made the following giftbags:

DSC_0022

This giftbag is the one from Bird’s SVGs Home for Christmas SVG Collection. I used Maja patterned paper “I wish”, “Joyous Winterdays” and “Vintage Frost Basics” and Best Creation Glitter cardstock in white. For the handle I used a thick hemp cord.

The following bags are the same giftbag but I changed the snowflake in the middle. I used the freebie snowflakes and simply made an offset of the flake and welded it to a circle. Might take a bit of trying but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. I use Silhouette Cameo for cutting.

DSC_0020

This bag is made from Danish Riddersholm patterned paper “The Day Before” and some shimmery paper from my stash.

DSC_0018

This bag is also made from Riddersholm paper and shimmery paper 🙂 I also want to mention that I altered the snowflake a tiny bit by adding some circles.

DSC_0028

This bag is made from Maja “Vintage Frost Basic” paper and glitter POW paper from AC.

DSC_0030

The same goes for this beautiful bag 🙂

blå gavepose

Finally for this bag I used “Joyous Winterdays” from Maja Design and the snowflake is made from self-adhesive glitter paper from Artemio.

These bags are so awesome for gift giving but can also be used as luminaries 🙂

DSC_0006

That’s it for today 🙂 Stay tuned for the gift inside the bags coming up early next week 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think of the bags ❤

Hanging Poinsettia

Hello and thanks for stopping by 🙂

Today I want to show you a hanging decoration I made using the beautiful poinsettia from Bird’s SVGs White Christmas Collection:

DSC_0004

I made the same Poinsettia with holly and pine as the 5″ by 7″ card but enlarged it to fit the 12″x12″ cutting mat. So it’s pretty big 🙂

I also made it double sided so it can hang in a window and be seen from both sides. This makes it pretty thick and sturdy as well.

I used AC Cardstock in Pine, Crimson, Forrest and Rouge along with some patterned cardstock in a lighter green. I also used White Best Creation Glitter Cardstock and some self-adhesive glitter cardstock from Artemio in green.

Finally I simply punched a hole in a top berry to thread my string and voila! It’s ready to hang.

Thanks for stopping by today – be sure to visit soon as I’m showing more Christmas projects in the following days 🙂 Oh and please leave a small comment for me 😉
