Perfect Hostess Gifts

Hi – so good of you to visit this fine november Wednesday – I’ve got a lot to show you, so you might wanna grab a cuppa coffee or maybe some delicious hot chocolate for this.

43400486_10156348836546072_6193884917244362752_n

I recently found these yummy chocolate balls in a Coffee Shop called Kama Kaffe in my home town and these are perfect for hostess gifts. They are made by Grenaa Chokolade.

They look like ordinary huge chocolate balls but in fact they are a scrumptious package of hot chocolate. Put this one in your mug, pour some hot milk over it and stir – Delicious perfection!

Instead of just handing out the cellophane with the ball inside (BORRING), I decided to make some small boxes for them and theย Round Ball Ornament Box 2.5 inches from Simply Crafty SVGs were just the thing!

So I made a bunch of them! Here we go:

DSC_0039

This first box is made from AC Cardstock in Wine and decorated with patterned paper from Recollections’ “Autumn Dream”.

I also found some Prima leaves in matching colors and a beautiful Prima flower.

I also decorated with different gems from Prima.

This box I altered a bit – from a round hole to a leaf shaped one by using my Silhouette Studio Software and the Release/Make Compound Path function. The leaf is one I found among many in the Silhouette Design Store.

DSC_0045

For this next box, I used AC Cardstock in Rose bud and Prima patterned Paper “Lavender Frost”

The leaves and flowers are also from Prima as is the gems.

The cut out is among the choices that comes with the box file.

DSC_0047

The final fall inspired box is made from AC Cardstock in Robin’s Egg and Prima patterned paper “Flirty Fleur”

Again I used Prima flowers, leaves and gems.

DSC_0043

I also made some of the boxes with a Winter/Christmas theme – this one in made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla and patterned paper from DCWV’s “Luxe Lodge” Stack.

The flowers and leaves are from Prima.

This has a real cozy feel to it – don’t you think?

The star cut out is also from the Silhouette Design Store and not part of the box file.

DSC_0037

Here’s a Christmas inspired box for which I used AC Cardstock in Mulberry and Prima’s “Santa Baby” patterned paper.

Flower, leaves and gems are from Prima and I also used three tiny pom poms as Marshmellows.

DSC_0041

The final box is made from AC Cardstock in White and patterned paper from DCWV’s “Christmas Plaid” stack.

Flowers and leaves are from Prima and the tiny pine twigs are Tim Holtz pine twine that I cut in small lengths and stuck in here and there.

So now I’m ready come the Fall and Christmas visits to friends and family – I really hope they like the boxes – the chocolate I know they will love ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks for joining me today – hope to see you again very soon โค

More Christmas in July

Hello, – thanks for joining me today.

I want to show you a Christmas project I just made. Yes…..I want in on that Christmas in July too ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve been meaning to make this one for a looooong time, but as you know, Jodi keeps putting awesome stuff out there so I got distracted, but now I finally succeeded.

The 3D Church Card Holder from theย JGW Colonial Christmas kit:

DSC_0002

I made the Church in AC Cardstock in Vanilla and decorated with Graphic 45 papers from the Christmas Carol Collection.

DSC_0004

I inked all the edges with Chalk Ink from Ingvild Bolme and added a poinsettia from Prima to the front of the Church.

Now it’s ready come Christmas time for all the Christmas cards coming in from near or far…โ€ฆ

โ€ฆ.or simply as a Christmas decoration with lights in it.

RUST ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hello – so glad you chose to visit my blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Just popping in with a small post, to show you the cute, fun and awesome not to mention vintageย Pickup Truck from Simply Crafty Svgs, I made last night:

DSC_0007

This adorable pile of rust is made from AC Cardstock in Cranberry, Black and White and decorated with Silver Mercury Glass Cardstock from DCWV.

The headlights are two large gems from my stash that just fitted perfectly and the license plate is made using the Silhouette Sketch pen function with my Silhouette Cameo.

Here’s a rear view:

DSC_0010

The tail lights are also two gems from my stash. The back end is decorated with a panel embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.

And a sideview:

DSC_0011

To achieve the rusty look, I rubbed some Copper Metallique Wax on all edges and smudged on here and there too.

This truck is surprisingly easy to make – just follow along the great tutorial video Sandy of Simply Crafty Svgs made.

Such a truck needs loads of gas, so I had to make theย  Vintage Gas Pump from Cre8tive Cutz too:

DSC_0003

For this I used AC Cardstock in Pomegranate, Black and Vanilla along with a dark grey Bling Cardstock from Bazzill. This too was smudged in Metallique Wax

DSC_0005

The hose is a piece of Hemp cord from my stash – I just love these small awesome details on the pump โค

And here they are together:

DSC_0002

This was a really fun and easy project to make. The truck was a bit time consuming but it has the coolest details and I really encourage you to have a go! So much more easy than it looks. Just imagine this one for Autumn with pumpkins in the back or for Christmas – driving home with the tree ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for stopping by today – hope you enjoyed the pictures and that you are inspired to go make your own now ๐Ÿ™‚

Christmas Centerpiece

Merry Christmas and happy 4th Sunday of Advent.

Today I want to show you the centerpiece I made for tonights Christmas Eve Table. The amazing Corn Husk Candle Ring from the JGW Autumn Aire kit.

DSC_0033

I made it with Crepe paper in Gold instead of the corn husks (these are not available in Denmark) and AC Cardstock in Caramel.

It is so easy to make and with the crepe paper its so fast too. All you have to do with the paper is to curl it and glue it onto the ring.

Then I added a LED candle in the middle and decorated it with some hemp and rhinestone-look-alike ribbon. That’s it.

DSC_0036

Now it matches the rest of the table that I’ve chosen to keep in gold this year.

So now I’m off to celebrate Christmas Eve with my Family and I want to wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and hope all your wishes comes true. It has been a fabulous dec. with lots of beautiful craft projects and I hope you got to make all of yours as I did mine. See you on the other side for New Years.

Update: Here’s a fewย pictures of how the table settings looked last night ๐Ÿ™‚

Yuletide Greetings

Hello again ๐Ÿ™‚ So nice of you to come back again ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I’m going to show you the cards I made for the gift bags and presents I made for my girlfriends.

Really I had stopped making Christmas cards since it’s so difficult to send and waaay to expensive, but since I gave the bags away last Friday at my Birthday party, I thought it only fitting to have a card along with the presents.

And I just had to make these cards! I’m talking about SVGCuts’ Yuletide Box Cards. I fell in love with these instantly and how awesome is it that they are so easy and fast to make.

First of the Star Box Card:

DSC_0006

It’s made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with White Glitter cardstock from Best Creation and Gold Foil. I simply added a small star gem in the middle – it really didn’t need anything else.

Then there’s the Nativity Box Card:

DSC_0008

This is made from White AC Cardstock and decorated with gold foil and gold glitter paper along with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle”

On to the Gingerbread House Box Card:

DSC_0010

This cutie is made from AC Cardstock in Chocolate and decorated with White Glitter Paper from Best Creation and different dots the colored ones from Doodlebug Design. Oh it’s so yummy ๐Ÿ˜›

Next is the Rooftops Box Card:

DSC_0014

This card is made from White, Black and Banana AC Cardstock and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” I also painted on some Stickles Glitter glue to make it look frosty ๐Ÿ™‚

Finally I made the Amaryllis Box Card (my favorite)

DSC_0012

This card is made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Rouge, Crimson, Pine and Spinach and decorated with patterned paper from Dovecraft “Time to Sparkle” and gold foil. I added some small dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the flower centers.

I really hope the girls are happy with the small gift I made for them. I just didn’t feel like leaving them out of the joy of giving โค

Thanks for stopping by and I really hope you too enjoyed the projects I made and that it gave you some inspiration for making your own presents.

Star Presents

Hello again ๐Ÿ™‚ So happy you’re here today

I promised I would let you see the presents inside the giftbags I showed you Saturday and here they are:

DSC_0032

The Star Gift Box is from Bird’s SVGs You’re a Star SVG Collectionย and the Poinsettia is the one from Bird’s White Christmas SVG Collection.

I downsized the box to 75% and made the Poinsettia to fit. I used AC Cardstock in White for the box and some of the Poinsettia and AC Cardstock in Spinach for the Poinsettia leaves. Then I decorated the box with papers from Maja Design and Riddersholm Design to match the giftbags and added a small Vivi Gade jewel in the flower center. I used Best Creation Glitter paper for the smallest flower and I also used Stickles Holly Glitter Glue on the Poinsettia leaves. What I put inside the boxes is a secret ๐Ÿ˜‰

Here are some close-ups of the boxes:

Belongs To Frosty

Hello and happy 3rd Sunday in Advent.

Today I want to show you the cute Christmas decoration I made using the hat from the JGW Frosty Topper kit.

DSC_0004

This was both a challenge and so much fun to make.

I used AC Cardstock in Black and Charcoal for the hat and added the snowflake made from double-sided adhesive sprinkled with glitter to make it look frosty.

DSC_0006

Then I went to town with Fir Sprigs in Forrest AC Cardstock and Leafy Sprigs in Spinach along with a Pinecone in Chestnut AC Cardstock.

DSC_0008

I also made him a Corncob 3d Pipe in AC Cardstock Butter and Caramel and two thick buttons in Sky, Blue Jay, Chestnut and Chocolate Cardstock and tied some white raffia onto them as string.

DSC_0010

DSC_0012

DSC_0014

Finally I added some different decor pieces like the berries, the small glass baubles and the Spanish moss and Voila! It was done.

Usually I haven’t got the first idea on how to make a Christmas Decoration – but I think I got away with this one – don’t you?

Thanks for joining me today….Christmas is almost here, but I still have a few things up my sleeve.

Flaky Gifts

Hello – so nice of you to drop in ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I want to show you some giftbags I made for my girlfriends. We usually give each other Christmas presents, but this year is different due to different circumstances, so most of them are skipping it this year. Well that doesn’t stop me from giving something to them! So I made the following giftbags:

DSC_0022

This giftbag is the one from Bird’s SVGs Home for Christmas SVG Collection. I used Maja patterned paper “I wish”, “Joyous Winterdays” and “Vintage Frost Basics” and Best Creation Glitter cardstock in white. For the handle I used a thick hemp cord.

The following bags are the same giftbag but I changed the snowflake in the middle. I used the freebie snowflakes and simply made an offset of the flake and welded it to a circle. Might take a bit of trying but you’ll get the hang of it in no time. I use Silhouette Cameo for cutting.

DSC_0020

This bag is made from Danish Riddersholm patterned paper “The Day Before” and some shimmery paper from my stash.

DSC_0018

This bag is also made from Riddersholm paper and shimmery paper ๐Ÿ™‚ I also want to mention that I altered the snowflake a tiny bit by adding some circles.

DSC_0028

This bag is made from Maja “Vintage Frost Basic” paper and glitter POW paper from AC.

DSC_0030

The same goes for this beautiful bag ๐Ÿ™‚

blรฅ gavepose

Finally for this bag I used “Joyous Winterdays” from Maja Design and the snowflake is made from self-adhesive glitter paper from Artemio.

These bags are so awesome for gift giving but can also be used as luminaries ๐Ÿ™‚

DSC_0006

That’s it for today ๐Ÿ™‚ Stay tuned for the gift inside the bags coming up early next week ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think of the bags โค

Hanging Poinsettia

Hello and thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚

Today I want to show you a hanging decoration I made using the beautiful poinsettia from Bird’s SVGs White Christmas Collection:

DSC_0004

I made the same Poinsettia with holly and pine as the 5″ by 7″ card but enlarged it to fit the 12″x12″ cutting mat. So it’s pretty big ๐Ÿ™‚

I also made it double sided so it can hang in a window and be seen from both sides. This makes it pretty thick and sturdy as well.

I used AC Cardstock in Pine, Crimson, Forrest and Rouge along with some patterned cardstock in a lighter green. I also used White Best Creation Glitter Cardstock and some self-adhesive glitter cardstock from Artemio in green.

Finally I simply punched a hole in a top berry to thread my string and voila! It’s ready to hang.

Thanks for stopping by today – be sure to visit soon as I’m showing more Christmas projects in the following days ๐Ÿ™‚ Oh and please leave a small comment for me ๐Ÿ˜‰

The Joy of Giving

Hello and happy 2nd Sunday of Advent

Today I want to show you a beautiful gift box I made from the new kit by SVG Attic called JGW Christmas Botanica

DSC_0023

The Poinsettia 3D Flower Topped Box is perfect for a small hostess gift or even a Christmas gift.

I made the box in AC Cardstock in Rouge, Crimson, Olive and White and decorated it with patterned paper from Swedish Maja Design Paper “I Wish” and Best Creation White Glitter Paper.

DSC_0025

I inked all the edges with chalk ink from Prima and sprinkled some Glass Glitter Gold Rush from Finnabair onto the flower center. Finally I added some gold glitter dots to the snowflake.

DSC_0029

I can’t wait to be giving this one away…..

Thanks for joining me today – I still have lots of projects to show you so don’t stray too far ๐Ÿ˜‰
