Here’s to love…..

….a quick little post to show you the darling Wedding Card I made for my Brother-in-Law for his wedding yesterday – The Oversized Floral Box Card from the Brunch Party kit by SVGCuts:

I used AC Cardstock in Ocean, Vanilla and Moss along with papers from Graphic 45’s Gilded Lily Collection. I also used some black glitter paper for the couple in the center ❤ Finally I used Nuvo Glitter Crystal Drops in Honey Gold as flower centers.

I also made the handy box for the card:

It just fitted perfectly for the gift card and still it wasn’t just another envelope 🙂 The couple really liked it 🙂

Needless to say we had a great rainbow-colored party and I’m so thrilled my Brother-in-Law finally got the man of his dreams ❤

Congrats Claus and Dennis – Love you ❤

Garden Party

….it’s almost time! Time for sun, warmth, relaxation and those loooong evenings on the porch  – Man! I just can’t wait.

To endure the waiting time, Mary from SVGCuts made us some darling Box Cards to keep busy and dreaming on – Garden Party Box Cards

First of I made the Adirondack Chair Box Card:

This design is just ingenious! Folds flat for sending and pop’s out to unfold the cutest little chair with a pillow and a little flower. Gotta love it! I made this from AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Sunflower and Moss and Graphic 45’s “Nature’s Sketchbook” paper 🙂

She even thought of making the back side fun:

Look at that little towel 😀

Next I made the Teacup Box Card:

I just love how the flowers fill the Teacup ❤ I used AC Cardstock in Latte, Sunflower, Moss and Vanilla and “Nature’s Sketchbook” again 😉 I cut out a small corner to put on the tag instead of a sentiment.

Then I made the Triple-layer Cake Box Card:

Ok so I got all crazy with the colors for the frosting but hey! – Art has no rules! 😀 I used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Orange, Sunflower and Moss and again “Nature’s Sketchbook” 🙂 The flower centers for all the box cards are made from Enamel Accents by Ranger.

Following is the Birdhouse Box Card:

Come on! How adorable is this one???? It even has it’s own key ❤ For this darling I used AC Cardstock in Chocolate, Rust, Latte, Ash, Sunflower and Moss and of course also the adorable “Nature’s Sketchbook” paper 🙂 Gosh what I wouldn’t give to pick Mary’s brain once in a while 😀

Finally I made the Lantern Box Card:

I wanted an natural look for this baby so I used the “Snap Basic’s” 6×6 paper pad from Simple Stories. Love that wood paper 😉 I also used AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Bubblegum, White and Moss and for the tag I used an old AC rub-on.

These cuties are just so adorable and useable and I bet I’m going to be making more of them. No problem cause they are so easy to assemble I did it without the tutorial video 😉

And All Together Now:

Thanks for stopping by and please remember to leave me a small comment on your way out ❤

Winter is coming…..

…but not quite yet….I hope 😀 Anyway, Dreaming Tree has, with the new bundle It’s Cold Outside, anticipated the forthcoming season. What gorgeous cards!!! Ron has done it yet again! WOW.

Since I fell and hurt my knee in Italy, I can’t go on my daily walks (at least not until I have a talk with my doctor), so I have had LOTS of time to craft. So I made all three cards yesterday (I even had time for Candy Crush and Pokémon Go too 😉 )

First of the Christmas Village Cascade Card:

DSC_0002 (7)

I didn’t want to alter these cards so I just used a bit different colors. For this I used AC cardstock in Ocean, Grape, Pine, Moss, Crimson and Tangerine. I also used AC glitter paper in White and Silver and decorated the tree with different dots and jewels from my stash. The sentiment is an oldie from a AC Minimarks Rub-on Transfers book.

Next is Peppy Penguins Cascade Card:

DSC_0002 (1)

So much fun making this one with the adorable penguins. I used AC cardstock in Robbin’s Egg, Sky, White, Grape, Melon and Lavender and AC glitter paper in White, Black and Blue. The pearls and gems are from my stash (I forget where all these are from :-O ) The sentiment is from the AC Minimarks book

Finally I made the Winter Wonderland Paperscape Box Card:

This is such a beautiful card and all the “men” in my house were in awe!!! For this I used AC cardstock in Peacock, Sky, Cabbage, White, Storm and Lavender and AC glitterpaper in White. For the front panel I used a patterned paper from BoBunny’s Altitude Collection. The purple gems on this one are from Doodlebug Design. The sentiment (reads: Merry Christmas in Danish) I made with sketch-pens from Silhouette. Need I mention how wonderful this card looks with a color-changing LED light in the middle????

Hope you like my slightly different cards 🙂 Thanks for visiting and remember to leave a small comment ❤

Confirmation cards

It is that time of year again. Time for Confirmations (affirmation of baptism) and lots of cards are needed for this occasion – Yay 😀 So here are some cards I made for a female Comfirmation.

First of is the Garden Shadow Box Folded Card

DSC_0006 (2)

This card is designed by Carina Gardner. I used Kraft cardstock for the card and the colored items are made from AC Cardstock. I used double sided foam tape to create the shadow box effect and that’s that….A cute, simple and easy card for the special girl on her special day 🙂

Next is the Filled Flower BasketDSC_0007

This card is actually a box designed by Carina Gardner but I altered it into a box card with the help of the Strawberry Basket Box Card from SVGCuts’ kit Box Cards SVG Kit. I used the box and panels from SVGCut’ card and the inserts from the box. I had to cut of the top of the inserts to the box to make it fit and then I just placed the flowers like I wanted to – Easy Peasy! I used Kraft Cardstock and AC Cardstock for the card and small adhesive rhinestones as flower centers. The panels are embossed with a Sizzix Embossing folder called Lovely Lace.

Last I made one of the gorgeous new Cascade Cards from Dreaming Tree – Daisy Cascade Card SVG

DSC_0001 (2)

This one is a lot more easy to make that it looks. The card is cut in AC Cardstock and the glitter paper is also from AC. I used some white organza ribbon to tread the card and a green glittery Silhouette Sketch Pen to write the sentiment. The flower centers are Prima “Say it with Crystals” gems. The panels are embossed with a folder from Craft Concepts called “Tuscan Tiles”.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment. Would love to read if you liked the cards or not 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend ❤

Things are not always what they seem to be….

Tonight I wanted to make one of the cute box cards from the Silhouette Online Store – Animal Explosion Basket – Cats by MiniLou. I did wonder a bit on the name…but not being as bright as I thought I was, I went to work on it. Not even when I had the file on the mat did it hit me… I carried on….cutting out all the pieces and started to assemble the box. Yup…THE BOX. This was no box card but a box-box….to put something in….like small pieces of candy. Darn it!

DSC_0006 (1)

Oh well….I finished the job and looked at the result. Now that is where I decided to turn it into what I thought it was to begin with. A Box Card. So I used the box from the Strawberry Basket Box Card from SVGCuts’ Box Cards SVG Kit (Cause it had the “handle” like the one from the Explosion Basket) I had to resize the box a little and cut a little from the middle pieces to make it all fit together…..but it worked!

DSC_0003 (2)

The paper that I used is from Doodlebug Design’s Back To School Collection. Cardstock is from American Craft and I used some Doodlebug Sprinkles to give the card a little extra 😉 The card measures about 2.75″ wide, 4.75″ high and 2.75″ (5.5″ x 4.75″ when folded flat) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 121 mm. x 70 mm. / 140 mm. x 121 mm.)

I did the exactly same thing for the next Box Card/Explosion Basket – Animal Explosion Basket – Ocean by MiniLou.

DSC_0002 (2)

For this one I used Prima’s Seashore paperpad 6×6, a ticket from Seashore Tags and Tickets set and some dots also from the Seashore Collection. The Box Card measures the same as the one above and in both cases there is an evelope inclosed in the SVGCuts Box Cards SVG Kit.

I am going to do the same to all the other Explosion Baskets from MiniLou that I purchased from The Silhouette Online Store (without thinking) so that they can fold flat like a Box Card. I seriously need to look more carefully on what I throw in my basket when shopping in the Online Store 😀

Here are the last brunch of the Card I made the last couple of days:

Spring Box Cards

Spring is…..almost….around the corner even though we got some snow last night. Today it rained all away. But the calendar says March and that is the first month of Spring, so I decided to make me some Spring Box Cards. I made three cards from SVGCuts kit Box Cards SVG Kit

First card is the Strawberry Basket Box Card:

For this cute card I used papers from Galeria Papieru – Tea for Two. The Strawberry paper was just perfect 🙂 And I used some Doodlebug sprinkles as flower centers. The card measures  2.75″ wide, 4.75″ high and 2.75″ (5.5″ x 4.75″ when folded flat) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 121 mm. x 70 mm. / 140 mm. x 121 mm.) and an envelope is included in the file.

Next is the Tea Time Box Card:

I also used Tea for Two paper for this one – the teapots and cups matches so well! The flower centers are gems from Doodlebug and cardstock is of course American Craft (It’s practically the only brand of Cardstock that I use.) The card measures 2.75″ wide, 6″ high and 2.75″ deep (6″ x 6″  when folded flat.) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 152 mm. x 70 mm. / 152 mm. x 152 mm.) This file also encloses an envelop 🙂

The last card is the Hot Air Balloon Card:

For this card I used a combo of Spring Collection and Easter Collection from Echo Park Paper and pop dotted the balloons and the clouds. The sentiment reads “Congratulations” and is made with a Silhouette Sketch Pen. I used some Doodlebug Sprinkles on the sentiment. The card measures 2.75″ wide, 5.75″ high and 2.75″ deep (6.75″ x 5.75″ when folded flat.) (Approx.: 70 mm. x 146 mm. x 70 mm. / 172 mm. x 146 mm. )

I have made some more Box Cards earlier also from SVGCuts:

Box Cards

Eventhough its been a lovely day outside and I should have been out walking my rounds, I thought; What the heck…I need some rest after a busy week working out and walking around – so I’ll stay in and make some of all the box cards that I haven’t tried making yet.

Mary from SVGCuts makes the most gorgeous Box Cards. They are so easy to make and look like a billion bucks. She is very meticulous when making them and the details are incredible.

First one is the Castle Box Card from the Box Cards SVG Kit

DSC_0002 (8)

I used paper from a Doodlebug Design collection called Hip Hip Hooray and I added a small fire breathing dragon from the Silhouette Online Store to add to the boyish fairytale theme. I bet this will be a big hit for a baby shower or a young boys birthday 🙂 It measures  2.75″ wide, 5.25″ high and 2.75″ deep (6.2″ x 5.25″ when folded flat) (approx.: 70 mm. x 133 mm. x 70 mm. / 158 mm. x 133 mm.) and the file includes an envelope.

Next I made the Kiss Me Box Card from the Feeling Lucky SVG Kit.

CSC_0014As we don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Denmark, I altered the card slightly into a Birthday Card. Papers are Happy-Go-Lucky Collection from Doodlebug Design and cardstock are from American Crafts. I blinged it up with some gems also from Doodlebug Design. Don’t you just love those rainbows??? The card measures 2.3″ wide, 6″ high and 3.2″ deep when standing (when folded flat, it measures 5.5″ wide and 6″ high). (Approx.: 59 mm. x 152 mm. x 81 mm. / 140 mm. x 152 mm.) Envelope is included in the file.

Then I made the Picnic Basket Box Card from the Summer Box Cards SVG Kit

Here I used papers from a Polish company called Galeria Papieru They make the cutest papers and they are pretty cheep too …. totally win-win. I used papers from the As If In A Dream Collection and from the Tea For Two Collection and added some gems as grapes and flower centers. I found a cute little metal butterfly in my stash and a AC bow. The sentiment reads: Congratulations 😉 The card messures 3″ wide, 5.5″ high and 2.8″ deep (5.8″ x 5.5″ when folded flat) (Approx.: 76 mm. x 140 mm. x 71 mm. / 147 mm. x 140 mm.) Envelope is included in the file. Uhhh can’t wait for summer….and that wine looks delish 😀

Finally I made the Summer Fair Box Card also from the Summer Box Card SVG Kit.

DSC_0007 (3) Papers here are also from Galeria Papieru and are called Summer Time. I did sneak in a paper from Doodlebugs “Hip Hip Hooray” and I used gems from Doodlebug on the Ferris Wheel and enamel dots from Freckled Fawn. The Card measures 3.6″ wide, 5.7″ high and 2.8″ deep (6″ by 5.7″ when folded flat). (Approx.: 92 mm. x 145 mm. x 71 mm. / 152 mm. x 145 mm.) Envelope is included in the file. This is such a cute card that’s genious as a Birthday Card.

Thanks for visiting – please leave a comment and tell me what you think…..of the things that I make or of the blog itself 🙂

Spring Box Cards

On a happier note I want to show the gorgeous box cards I made from SVGCuts newest kit Springtime Box Cards SVG Kit. They just scream SPRING and I love working with Mary’s files so of course I had to make them.

First of is the cute “Bird’s Nest Box Card”:

DSC_0002 (1)I used papers from Maja Design called “Vintage Spring Basics.” The colors were just right for the eggs and the panels.I inked athe leaves, stem and leaves with my Prima chalk pads to give it more dimension. It folds flat and measures  8.3” wide and 7″ tall. (approx.: 211 mm. x 178 mm.)

Next is the “Pansies Box Card”:

DSC_0006 (3)

Here I used Graphic 45 paper “Time to Flourish” and I had some small yellow flower shaped bads lying around that just fitted perfectly. I colored the center of the pansies with Promarkers to get the authentic look. The card measures 6.5” wide, 6.25” high (approx.: 165mm. x 159mm.) and also folds flat. Isn’t it an amazing design?

Ok next up is the “Tulips Box Card”:

DSC_0002 (3)

A very easy card to make and I also used Graphic 45 “Time to Flourish” paper for this. The one row of tulips comes with a reinforcement and I made two more for the other two rows so that the card would be more firm. I chalked the edges of the tulips with chalk pads to give them more dimension. This card also folds flat and measures 7.8“ wide and 6.2” high (approx..: 198mm. x 157,5mm.)

Finally I made the “Lucky Clovers Box Card”:

DSC_0003 (3)

Here I also used the “Time to Flourish” paper and some gold foil paper for the two panels on the front of the card. I chalked the edges of the clovers and used some small yellow pearls as center of the Snowdrop flowers. We do not celebrate Saint Patricks Day here in Denmark (unless you’re of Irish descend) but Snowdrops are a common early spring flower here and clovers are associated with luck so its just a perfect card for someone’s Birthday in February or March.  It too folds flat and measures  8.2” wide and 6.7” (approx.: 208mm. x 170mm.)
