I know we’re not quite there yet, but here in Denmark the weather is starting to say: Fall!
After an incredible summer with record high temps, a record long drought and record for most sunshine, August has been a bit disappointing in terms of heat and sun. We got lots of rain….enough to end the drought and make everything green again but come on….enough is enough 😀
In a few days it’s September and the first month of Fall so what better to start making Fall decorations.
I started out with the gorgeous Falling Leaves Topiary from Hello Autumn SVG Bundle by Dreaming Tree:
This is made from AC Cardstock in Boysenberry, Carrot, Cherry, Dandelion, Melon and Leaf.
I used a Darice Crackle Embossing folder on all the leaves and inked with Distress Ink from Ranger. The veins are made with Sharpie pens.
I couldn’t get the cone that is to be used with this project, so I made my own and I also altered the top to look like another layer instead of a gold cone. Finally I glued a Amethyst pearl on top.
I didn’t make the vase for it because I wanted it to be placed on a plate with some other Fall projects – like the Big Ghost Pumpkin from the Pick a Pumpkin kit from SVG Cuts:
I made this one in AC Cardstock in Vanilla, Leaf, Coffee and Apricot and decorated with patterned paper from Galeria Papieru.
I also embossed a few panels with a bark-like embossing folder from Creative Expressions and inked all edges with Distress Ink and Ingvild Bolme Chalk Ink. The leaf is embossed with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder.
Incredibly easy to make – even for beginners!!!
I also made the gorgeous Apple from the Miss Baker’s Classroom kit also by SVG Cuts:
It’s made from AC Cardstock in Rouge and Leaf and embossed with a Sizzix letter embossing folder and the leaf with a leaf-veined embossing folder. All edges are inked with Distress ink and lastly I decorated the apple with some raffia and twine along with some small gems and a button from my stash.
These three items really goes well together, don’t you think?
So now it’s all ready to decorate my dining room table the next couple of months – until Halloween anyways 😉
Thanks for joining me today – I really hope you liked this post. Let me know in a comment below. Thank you ❤

Your work is so pretty and ready for autumn! I love the embossed texture on the papers. It so interesting to see the different patterns on the items that they weren’t intended for! The words are the apple is so clever and the squiggles on the leaves! And pumpkins often have strange marks from growing in the garden. I can’t wait to see what I have in my embossing stash that I can put to use on my cutouts.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful autumn creations. Now I can hardly wait for the first leaves to start falling, 🙂
