Hautingly Beautiful

Thanks for joining me today as I share one of my last (as of this year) Halloween projects: The Candlelabra 3D for Tea Lights from the JGW Witches Gather kit from SVG Attic:

DSC_0001

This beauty is made entirely from Black AC Cardstock (and a 1.25″ dowel) and is very easy to assemble. The only thing I changed or added, is the extra panels of the arms that I embossed with a Damask Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug and added some Rich Copper Metallique Wax from Prima to all edges and the embossed panels to make it look more old and spooky 🙂

I made the extra panels by simply making a internal offset of the Outer Scroll arm on my Silhouette Cameo.

You will find the tutorial for this file here and I hope you’ll have as much fun with it as I did.

Thanks for stopping by and remember to leave some comments on the projects

You’ve Been Booed….

Hello 🙂

Today I’m here with a quick post to show you the fun I had yesterday with one of the cute Halloween cards from the SDS Halloween Cards kit – the Boo Ghost Card

IMG_8627

I made the card with AC Cardstock and “Tricky” patterned paper from Authentique.

Now this card is so cute as it is but I wanted to add a little extra detail:

IMG_8628

Do you see it? I know it’s a bit hard to see on the picture, but I added some colored Chibitronics LED lights behind the Boo banner that turns on by pushing the pumpkin.

Now this card is exactly how I want it 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today – please let me know what you think 🙂

Christmas Is Nigh…..

….or at least Dec. 1st. is coming up real fast! Therefore I decided to make the gorgeous Gingerbread House Advent Calendar from Bird’s cute Countdown to Christmas SVG Collection

DSC_0017

As you properbly know, I love color and I just had to add some to the Gingerbread House. So I decided to use the “Milk & Cookies” Collection from Doodlebug Design and as I was having trouble deciding which of the papers to use, the solution fell literally in my lab – the collection has a paper with all the countdown numbers on it 😀 How lucky and easy is that????

The Gingerbread House itself is made from (hold on….) 25 pieces of brown AC Cardstock and 3 or 4 white pieces. I added some icy Stickles Glitter Glue to the roofs and the icicles. I used different colored glitter brads as handles and finally I inked all the drawers with a white ink pad to make the stand even more out.DSC_0018

I did also add a few Sugarplums Sprinkles also from Doodlebug on the front door of the House which happens to be the 24th – Christmas Night here in Denmark where we celebrate Christmas and not on the 25th 😉

DSC_0021

The construction of this Countdown Gingerbread House is sheer genius and it’s very easy to put together even though it might take a night or two of you time as there are lots of pieces to assemble. Just remember to watch Bird’s tutorial video, which you find on the product page 🙂

Now this house could stand alone, but I still thought it needed a little extra something, so I made the Tree Luminaries from Bird’s Home for Christmas SVG Collection:

DSC_0023

For these trees I also used the Milk & Cookies Collection from Doodlebug Design and added some Icy Stickles Glitter Glue dots in strategic places to give them more shine 😉 The trunks are made from AC Cardstock that I embossed with a basket patterned embossing folder and added some Bronze Age Metallique Wax from Prima to make the pattern stand out.

Here’s a picture of the House and trees together. I really hope you like this project – I am totally in love with it ❤

Scary Skull

Good Sunday Morning – thanks for joining me on the blog today 🙂

This week SVG Attic releashed a new kit called JGW Witches Gather. In this kit I found this totally awesome realistic shaped Skull. I just needed that for my Halloween decorations…..It’s so cool – don’t you think?

DSC_0010

It’s made from AC Cardstock in Vanilla. I made some holes in his eyes, nose and ears so light can shine through and covered these with some printed vellum.

Just look how amazing he looks in the dark:

My light is a little too bright but I really love this look.

Thanks for stopping by today – remember I love to read all your comments ❤

Haunted Abode

Good Evening…..

Just a quick post to show you my latest project – the awesome Midnight Manor from Dreaming Tree…..Oh Ron you simply outdid yourself this time ❤

DSC_0003

This cool Haunted House is made entirely from AC Cardstock in Black, Stone, Charcoal, Olive and Eggplant. I wanted mine to look really scary so I didn’t make it as colorful as the original.

The iron fences I wanted to look rusty, so I applied some cobber wax. All edges (I think 😉 ) are inked to give it a more worn down and creepy look. I also applied some Enamel Accent in Black and Orange for details on the house and on the Tombstones. Finally I used different Halloween trinkets from Tim Holtz for decoration.

Here’s some pictures of the details:

I really had fun with this one – eventhough there are a LOT of pieces to cut out and keep track of – but Leo helps you with all that in the tutorial video found here.

Here’s what it looks like in the dark:

The Candy Gang…..

Hello again 🙂

I just can’t believe all the amazing Halloween projects out there, just waiting to be made. I am really kept busy at the moment 🙂

This time I want to show you my edition of SVG Cuts Candy Gang SVG Kit

DSC_0002

Just like the cute Halloween Lanterns I showed yesterday, these are made of AC Cardstock and Doodlebug Design Paper “Boos & Brews” and “BooVille”. The handles are pipe cleaners and I added a twinkle in their eyes with a white Sharpie.

They are soooo easy to make and would be so awesome for all the cute Trick or Treaters out there. I think I know a couple who will love theses 😉

Here’s some close-ups of each bag:

Thanks for vistiting me again. Please leave me a small comment. I just can’t promise I’m done with the Halloween stuff, because there is still a whole lot out there to be made, but I am starting to think about Christmas….Must. Concentrate. About. Christm…..Ooooooh look Halloween 😀

Too Cute To Spook

Hello and happy Sunday 🙂

Today I want to show you the cute Halloween Lanterns I made from the SDS Glowing Halloween kit

SDS Glowing Halloween

I wanted them to be cute and not too scary as I am giving them to a special Family School that I attend with my youngest son who has ADHD. This school only has about 8 families at a time – mostly Mother and child and is a place where children who has difficulties being in their own school/class can come and get help with these difficulties.

So I made the lanterns with AC Cardstock in Black, Cricket, Blossom, White and Squash along with patterned paper from Doodlebug’s “Boos and Brews” and “BooVille” – these papers are just perfect for this project…..don’t you think?

As I know that the lights in  these lanterns will be turned on and off every day and this might cause the bottom contraption to tear,  I adjusted the bottom slightly to make an easier access for the candle.

Here’s how and what I did on my Silhouette Cameo:

1. I placed the shape (for keeping the candle in place) on top of the bottom shape and chose “release compound path.”

IMG_8450

2. Then I removed the square and left the circle in the bottom shape.

IMG_8451

3. I then chose “release compound path” on the bottom shape.

IMG_8452

4. I removed the square from the bottom shape and chose “make compound path” on the remaining shapes.

IMG_8455

5. This is what it should look like.

IMG_8456

6. I finally cut out the piece along with 4-5 shapes for the candle-holding.

IMG_8457

This way the candle rests on the table and is easily accessible to turn on and off. Should you want to hang the lantern instead, do not use this method as nothing is holding the candle.

DSC_0001

I really can’t wait to see the kids reaction to these cute colorful lanterns. Halloween is still a pretty new thing here in Denmark but its becoming more and more normal year after year. Still there is a HUGE lack of Halloween decor and I’ve taken it on as my personal mission to make and bring in more of it everywhere I go 😀

Meet my Mom…..

Today I want to show you the little cutesy 3D spider I made from the JGW 3D Witch kit.

DSC_0002

I made him of Black AC Cardstock and he’s sooo easy to assemble. Otherwise looky here: Needles ‘n’ Knowledge – spider assembly. The eyes are from Doodlebug Design BooVille Shape Sprinkles.

He is just perfect and matches the rest of my HUGE Halloween decor collection 😀

But wait…..what????? EEK!!!! Here’s Mommy…..

DSC_0005

You can make the spider almost as big as you want but I just enlarged her so her legs fitted the 12×12 mat and the body likewise.

They do make a cute pair – don’t they?

And here’s Daddy 😀

DSC_0005

I guess he’s lucky to still be alive as female spiders usually eat their mate after mating. He does look a bit terrified so maybe the danger isn’t over yet 😀

Here’s a pic of the “happy” family ❤

DSC_0002

Thanks for joining me today – hope you’re not too afraid of my spiders 😀

Deadly Treats

Who doesn’t love all the yummy Halloween candy? I for one am a big fan of the spooky sweets and so are my kids. Mommy’s still hoping that the youngest will choose to have his Birthday Party as a Halloween Party but we will have to see. They grow up so fast and soon they race past Mommy who’s still a little child when it comes to Halloween. Can you tell???? 😀

In this post I will show you the last project I made from Bird’s Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection – the Coffin Treat Box:

DSC_0028

This box I made from AC Cardstock in Black along with patterned paper from Carta Bella’s “Trick or Treat”. I inked all the edges with white chalk ink from Prima and added two small gems on the “RIP” sign. Then I filled it with lots of yummy treats – all ready for the big day – Oct. 31st. 😀

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a small comment on how your liking the projects ❤

SHRIEK!!!!!

Looking to scare som guests at your next Halloween party or do you just (like me) enjoy some spooky horrifying decorations?

Look no further – The Coffin Luminary is here fresh from Bird’s Creak ‘n’ Shriek SVG Collection

DSC_0019

I made this from AC Cardstock in Black and White along with patterned paper from Carta Bella “Trick or Treat.” I inked all the edges with white chalk ink from Prima, added two gems to the “RIP” sign and put in some color-changing LED lights.

This rather large decoration looks a bit spooky in daylight but watch what happens when nighttime comes…..

SHRIEK!!!!!

Can you tell I’m loving this? 😀
